Descent into Malbolge, third floor.
Smack, smack, smack—
"Ah—"
Moans drifted through the crack in the door, leaving the steward who had come to report utterly stunned.
Knock, knock—
"Miss Lamasha?"
"Don't come in!"
Though he had heard Lamasha's sharp rebuke, the steward sensed something was wrong and still asked, "Has something happened?"
"I saw downstairs that the human and his two companions have already left." Hearing the faint, pained gasps within, he knocked again. "Do you need anything in there..."
"I need you to get lost!"
Bang—
Something slammed against the door. The steward did not dare linger any longer.
Inside the room.
Lamasha had collapsed onto the floor, her slit black gown now in complete disarray.
Above her, three red-skinned she-devils floated slowly in the air.
"Y-you... why are you here?"
Lamasha clutched her shoulder. Several charred whip marks now streaked her pink skin.
"Heh." The red-skinned demon in the middle sneered, snapping the long whip in her hand with another sonic crack. "Lamasha, you repeatedly summoned us, the Sisters of Justice."
"Our sisters answered the contract's witness and rushed here from the Abyss, only for you to cut off the summoning."
"Are you playing us for fools?"
Smack!
"Argh!"
The searing pain made Lamasha double over, her body twisting.
"It was just a little accident!"
"An accident? I didn't even see a single soul."
"You cheap mongrel-blooded bitch. You're certainly full of excuses."
Seeing the mockery plastered across their faces, Lamasha gritted her teeth. "He'll come back!"
"I've already figured this human out. In a few days, he'll come looking for me himself and offer up his soul!"
Night had fallen completely.
He Xi was on his way to the Hidden Valley District.
