The Mesopotamians were the earliest known people to record thoughts and literature in writing, and were therefore called "the cradle of human civilization."

But in this world, Mesopotamia's development was inseparable from a group of aliens: the Eternals.

These Eternals had used their abilities and knowledge to interfere with human history. For example, the earliest Bronze here had been created by the Eternals out of stone.

They had occupied an important position in the development of human history—or at least, they believed they had. Not only that, they had even argued over it. Some believed they should not have done so, while others thought, I'll do whatever I want.

But their original mission actually had nothing to do with interfering in humanity's development—it was to facilitate the birth of new Celestial Group members.

Once Earth's intelligent population reached a certain number, these Celestial Group members would complete their growth and hatch from within the planet. The consequence would be Earth's destruction.

To increase their numbers, they searched the universe for planets with intelligent life and planted Celestial Group embryos within their Earth's Core. To ensure that the planet's apex intelligent species could develop normally without being threatened by apex predators, they did something else:

They released cleaners capable of preying on apex predators—the Mutants.

But the Mutants eventually became another group of predators, threatening humanity's development. So the Celestial Group created another batch of Eternals, who resembled intelligent lifeforms, to eliminate the Mutants...
