Doctor Banner, the Hulk before his transformation, returned to Earth from space to warn humanity of the coming threat. But this world was no longer the one he knew.

With Heimdall's help, Banner fell from the sky and landed in the New York Sanctum, smashing a huge hole through its expensive solid-wood staircase.
"Hello? Anyone here? Could someone get me some clothes?" Banner lay naked on the floor. The Sanctum was empty.
He got up and searched around, finding a set of standard Kamar-Taj training robes in the storeroom before leaving the Sanctum.
"My God..."
What greeted him outside... was silence. New York, once a bustling metropolis, was now utterly quiet, the setting sun shining over battered, wrecked cars in the streets.
But before he could figure out what was happening, Thanos's vanguard arrived in his wake!
A portal opened in the street through the Space Stone, and Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian appeared in an instant!
Banner frantically slapped his own face, trying to call out Hulk, but the green giant seemed to have developed some psychological issues and refused to emerge...
"Listen, you should feel honored—you will die by the hands of Thanos's children..."
Just as Ebony Maw pronounced Earth's death sentence, a portal quietly opened behind him, and a repulsor cannon began charging in its palm...

Ebony Maw's shriveled head took a solid hit. The portal opened wide, and Iron Man emerged with two others...
"Now you're finished!" Banner shouted joyfully.
Iron Man, Strange, and Wong beat the two alien Invaders into a miserable defeat. Cannons and magic flew together, and before long, Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian were losing ground.
But then Banner noticed something wasn't quite right...
