As the elevator slowly rose, both Lokis were incredibly tense. Loki broke the silence.
Once the elevator stopped, they would reach the most mysterious place in the entire TVA: the Time Keepers' residence.
"Yeah, just when things were looking up." Sylvie toyed with her dagger, revealing a cruel smile. "I finally have a chance to kill those lizards."
"And then?" Loki asked. "What happens after we kill those lizards?"
Sylvie did not understand what Loki meant. "Then those lizards will never get to tell free will what it can and cannot do again."
"Suppose," Loki said, stepping in front of Sylvie and gesturing, "I mean, What If...? What if even one percent of what that TVA propaganda film said was true? What if the part about the chaotic past of the infinite universes was true? Shouldn't we consider whether doing this might cause some kind of chaos?"
The TVA claimed that before the Time Keepers appeared, the entire universe had been in a state of chaos, with people who possessed time-travel technology running around everywhere.
Just think about it: the Avengers caused enormous trouble in Loki's universe after traveling through time only once. If the TVA had not arrested him, it was hard to say what Loki would have done after obtaining the Tesseract.
Since time had no meaning in the Netherworld, the existence of such technology meant that strange people could appear at any point in history and send the world down paths it was never meant to take.
"I get it." Sylvie rolled her eyes. "You're still having that dream of yours? Seizing ultimate power? No. The TVA must be destroyed."

The elevator arrived.
The two stopped arguing. No matter what, they had to deal with the Time Keepers first.
