Could the officials who had reappeared return to their positions? Should they? If they did not return, where were they supposed to go?
No one was willing to lose everything in the blink of an eye. They would resist, and resistance meant forming factions and confronting one another.
At best, political confrontation meant protests and demonstrations. At worst, it turned into war—indeed, that had long been the case in underdeveloped regions. The world now had one more reason for war: the returnees wanted their places back.
"Returnee guidance" might have meant nothing more than psychological counseling for the children of Midtown High School, but for people in other regions, it was a life-or-death struggle. The collateral damage it caused had already torn this world apart.
"But... the spirit of the Avengers will guide people forward..."
Stark Peter stammered out those painfully childish words.
Harry smiled. A certain lofty spirit was indispensable, but it certainly could not put food on the table—though he was not here to reason with them.
"The Avengers spirit—sounds nice, but having the real Avengers back would definitely be better."
"What do you mean?" Stark Peter froze.
"I mean... Black Widow, Black Panther, Captain America..." Harry paused briefly, then spoke after making sure he had stirred Stark Peter's hopes. "Even Tony Stark. They're all alive and well in my world.
If we loosen this spell a little, Tony should be able to come to this world."
