When Apocalypse struck, humanity, faced with life and death, always managed to unite—at least for a while.

Countries set aside their differences and pooled all their spacefaring resources. Humanity's aerospace technology had never advanced so rapidly.

Unfortunately, the Osborn Group's Drones moved faster.

The Stellar Conversion-Black Hole conversion device had already activated. Thanks to Parker Industries' Dark Energy observation methods, Earth's astronomers could now break through the limits of light speed and observe the changes occurring on the Sun.

The entire Sun was encircled by three enormous rings. Each ring had drill-like structures on both sides, and the massive drills plunged deep into the Sun. No one knew how far they had penetrated.

For Earthlings, no matter how deep they went, it could not possibly be good news. The Sun only needed to change slightly for Earth's position to no longer qualify as a habitable zone.

The changes came with terrifying intensity. Solar activity intensified as expected, with sunspots and flares growing increasingly dense. Chaotic electromagnetic radiation paralyzed most communication facilities, while high temperatures killed vast numbers of plants—and people.

Under such circumstances, people began to go mad.

Smashing, looting, arson, and free-for-all theft were mere child's play. With destruction coming tomorrow, people stopped caring about anyone else's human rights. At a time like this, guns were the best companions.

Society gradually lost its meaning amid the chaos. People had only two choices: wait at home for Apocalypse to arrive, or wander the streets and fire a few shots, at least giving themselves some way to vent.

Food, energy, power... none of it mattered anymore. Humanity could not stop the process and did not even have enough time to choose how they would die.
