Inside the biological laboratory, Harry examined the two drugs before him. Both belonged to the Osborn Group.

The first had been a project Norman Osborn had previously worked on with the military. As everyone knew, Norman Osborn had been obsessed with Flying Vehicle design his entire life, especially Personal Flight Vehicles. Yet after developing the Green Goblin Glider, they had "amazingly" discovered that the human body could not withstand such an outrageous burden. The company had then developed the Green Goblin Enhancer, but its side effects were too severe and remained unresolved for far too long. In the end, the military decided to stop funding the project.

The second bottle was Doctor Connors's masterpiece. Its enhancement effects might not have been as good as the Green Goblin Enhancer's, but the crucial point was that Doctor Connors's Serum-making process could be applied to other materials. That allowed Harry to try making all kinds of Serums.

Looking at the system prompts, Harry was not surprised that the two Serums had vastly different effects.

After all, Spider-Man's birth had actually been a very... magical process. It could not be fully explained by one tiny Genetically Modified Spider from the Osborn Group.

Harry rubbed his chin. But before that, he still had preparations to make. To perform Human Enhancement on himself, he needed someone reliable to assist him.

Inside the secret laboratory at Harry's home.

"Son, are you... sure you want to do this?" Norman looked worried. "Are you really sure you don't want to conduct some experiments first?"

After a month of preparation, Harry had readied everything he needed. The enhancement process was fully automated, and Harry himself had written the program into it. He could not guarantee that it would run perfectly, but since the system had said the success rate was 100%, he probably did not need to worry too much.

"Don't worry, Father. I'm completely confident." Harry stripped naked and lay down on the operating table. "Besides, you know what this technology represents. A lot of people have their eyes on it."

Before developing his own power base, Harry did not dare put all his technology out in the open.

"All right... You are my pride. Your mother would be proud of you too, Harry."

"Hey, Father, could you not say something like that at a time like this? It doesn't sound very lucky."

Harry's joke eased the tension somewhat, and the father and son began operating the instrument.

"Computer, initiate the 'Spartan Project.'" father and son shouted at the same time.

Lying on the medical bed, Harry watched the Mechanical Arms surrounding him. They looked like the hands of demons, making his heart pound violently.

Having lived two lives, even after arriving in this far-from-ordinary world, he had been, at most, a millionaire so far. Embarrassing as it was to admit, before awakening the system, he had always been afraid.

He had feared Norman Osborn turning into the Green Goblin. He had feared Dr. Lizard Conners coming to his door and turning him into a Lizard Man. He had feared Doctor Octopus breaking into his home to steal things. He had feared Electro, even Kingpin...

After all, this was a world centered around superheroes.

But starting today... no, it had all begun long ago—he, Harry Osborn, would become the protagonist.

"Bone Enhancement Surgery initiated. Enhancement materials: Vibranium, Carbonized Ceramic."

In the original procedure, Carbonized Ceramic had been the only material used to reinforce the bones. But this world possessed a better material—Vibranium. Setting aside its superior properties, living organisms showed very little rejection toward this metal, practically none at all. It could effectively prevent the white blood cell necrosis that Enhancement Surgery might cause.

During the month before the operation, Harry had mainly been preparing this stuff. Relying on some memories, Harry had instructed Norman to acquire these high-performance metals from Africa at a steep price. Fortunately, the amount required was not large, and Norman had obtained them easily.

"Bone Enhancement Surgery complete. Beginning neural fiber modification. Enhancement material: Superconducting Fiber."

"Neural fiber modification complete. Beginning gland modification and enhancement. Enhancement material: Artificial Gland."

"Gland modification and enhancement complete. Beginning modification of the suboccipital capillary return pathway..."

The enhancement of a Spartan warrior was bloody and comprehensive. A special anesthetic was used during this enhancement process, one that would not put Harry fully to sleep.

In that half-chaotic state, Harry felt as though his body were being cut apart piece by piece, then reassembled...

Until, at last, he was reborn.
