"Don't come any closer. I can do it myself." Hammer trembled as he glanced at Yuriko behind him, then obediently sat down in a chair and faced the three people across the table.
"All right, now we can finally have a proper talk," the masked youth said with a smile.
"You just said you wanted to cooperate with me, right?" Hammer swallowed, forcing himself to calm down.
Having risen to his position, Hammer was naturally no fool. The fact that they had not killed him yet proved that he was still highly valuable to them.
"Then could you take off your mask? My friend, I mean no offense, but someone seeking cooperation with me while refusing to show his true face does make me feel rather unsafe." Sweat had already begun to bead on Hammer's forehead as he tested the other party's boundaries. It was a risky move.
Yet his opponent's willingness caught him completely by surprise. After saying, "Sure," the apparent mastermind removed his mask, revealing a youthful face.
Hammer racked his brains for any information about that face, but in the end, he could only conclude that he had never seen this person before.
