Chapter Summaries

Coulson and Melinda met with Optimus Prime while Fury and Lu Yifang discussed defending Earth from Megatron and the danger of the Infinity Stones. The chapter ended with Fury revealing that Thor had left Earth after becoming convinced Mjolnir had rejected him for Lu Yifang.

• Coulson and Melinda escorted Optimus Prime into a meeting room, where his mechanical beast transformed into a stool for him to sit on.

Lu Yifang, Katie, and Melinda found Coulson on the ruined planet and rescued him from Hive, the Inhuman parasite hiding inside his body. Hive revealed that the entire city was made up of his nanobots, and Lu Yifang attacked while shielding Coulson.

• Lu Yifang, Katie, and Melinda searched the desert for Coulson and found an ancient ruined city.
• Venom detected Coulson approaching and devoured the strange rootlike organisms attached to a skeleton.
• Katie pulled Hive's octopus-like avatar from Coulson's chest, and she used time reversal to heal his wound.
• Hive identified himself as the Inhuman god, and Lu Yifang explained that the Kree had created him to control the Inhumans.

Lu Yifang crippled Hive and left the planet with Katie and the others, but Hive survived and was captured by the Kree. Cassius and Sinara prepared to travel to the far side of the moon to find someone waiting there.

• Lu Yifang destroyed Hive’s lair with the Spear of Destiny, leaving Hive badly wounded and the city reduced to a crater.
• Lu Yifang gave Coulson food and water, then opened a Portal and led Katie and the others off the planet.
• After they left, Hive’s nanites reassembled him, but a collar subdued him and prevented him from dispersing.
• Sinara captured Hive and revealed that she and Cassius had found the Inhumans’ control switch.
• Cassius said humans had become as difficult to deal with as the Skrulls and resolved to head to the far side of the moon.

Fury told Lu Yifang that S.H.I.E.L.D. had found evidence of Attilan and located Black Bolt after he arrived in Hawaii. Lu Yifang reached the police station just as Black Bolt broke free of his handcuffs, and began calming the officers so he could speak with the Inhuman king.

• Fury explained that the planet once inhabited by Coulson was suitable for humans but could not replace Earth as a sacrifice to Galactus.
• Fury told Lu Yifang that energy pulses from the Moon had led S.H.I.E.L.D. to Attilan and to Black Bolt, who had destroyed a street with a single syllable after appearing in Hawaii.
• Black Bolt asked the human government for political asylum and help finding his family, promising Inhuman technology and intelligence in return.
• At the Oahu police station, Black Bolt broke his handcuffs when officers planned to shave his head for a booking photo.
• Lu Yifang arrived holding the Mind Stone and calmed the police officers before addressing Black Bolt.
