Standing atop the highest peak in the east, they could see more than half of Hell Island. Only then did they realize that the area where they had always lived was merely Hell Island's outskirts! Volcanoes, ice fields, and wild forests surrounded the dense basin forest at the very center. That was the true core of Hell Island!
Yet they could not even approach the edges of those forbidden regions. The closer one got to the central area, the more numerous and terrifying the Beast Kings became, let alone entering the basin.
Dorte and the others had come for revenge. The giant bird that had taken their companion's life lived on this mountain. But before they could find it, the endlessly flashing lightning in the distant basin caught their attention first.
Ordinary lightning struck down from the sky, so no one had the time to care about it. But the lightning there shot from the ground into the heavens, as if a thundercloud had fallen to the earth. That was what drew their attention.
