After finally catching his breath, Ron stood up and surveyed the steel factory around him, which clearly did not fit the definition of a "deserted island."
"Where is this?"
Everything before him told Ron that this was an artificial structure.
The surrounding walls were made of steel, with rows of tank-like pools lining them. Corpses giving off a foul stench soaked inside them. Beneath them were filter screens, through which drops of corrosive liquid seeped and fell, flowing down grooves into the highly toxic molten pool he had just fallen into. At the center of the factory was a pool filled with toxic liquid, over a hundred meters long and wide, buried deep underground, with no telling how deep it truly went. Several thick transparent glass pipes extended from the side of the molten pool, bent through the air with the support of segmented steel structures, and plunged into the ground, their final destination unknown.
If the molten pool had not contained a toxic solution, Ron would have thought this was some kind of water treatment plant!
"Where is all this poison being sent? Could the Marines be conducting biological weapons experiments?!"
A sharp glint flashed through Ron's eyes. It seemed he had uncovered Hell Island's core secret.
This wasn't my fault. Your security was so lousy that even a snake could break in!
Yet he failed to consider that, in pursuit of a killing blow, the giant snake had used its rocket headbutt to carve a canyon through the basin and fling up tons of mud and sand! Then, in its dying frenzy, it had repeatedly smashed its head into the ground. Unless someone had deliberately intended it, neither humans nor beasts could have dug through the earth to reach the steel shell buried beneath, much less entered this
