Hearing Youhu call him by name, Obito's mouth twitched slightly.
His current identity was Tobi of the Akatsuki, the mastermind secretly controlling the organization. Although his identity had already been exposed to Konohagakure, he wanted to keep it hidden for as long as possible.
He really didn't want to go around the Ninja World under the name Obito.
He hadn't wanted to show himself during this operation. He'd planned to wait until Kakashi was at a disadvantage, then take the opportunity to reclaim his eye and finally possess a complete pair of Mangekyō Sharingan.
But he hadn't expected Kakuzu, who had once tried to assassinate the First Hokage, to be no match for Youhu.
Under Youhu's attacks, Kakuzu had been driven back again and again. Even two of his Mask Monsters, which represented his lives, had been destroyed. If Obito hadn't stepped in, Kakuzu would most likely have died there.
He really didn't want to see a missing-nin who was so devoted to the Akatsuki and the Moon Eye Plan die.
Thinking this over, Obito shook his head slightly and stepped between Youhu and Kakuzu. With an indifferent expression, he said, "Youhu, Kakuzu isn't our enemy. He's a ninja in the Akatsuki, too."
"Kakuzu is a ninja in the Akatsuki? So he's one of Brother Obito's subordinates? If I'd known, I would've gone easier on him."
Youhu paused, looking incredulous. Then, catching on to something, he smiled and said, "Brother Obito, you really did rename the organization the Akatsuki. You're so good to me."
"The organization was already called the Akatsuki..."
Obito was at a loss for words. The organization had always been called the Akatsuki.
What baffled him was that Youhu had guessed the name.
