Pakura and Rasa were the same age, and she was seven or eight years older than Sasori.
In the past, Pakura and Sasori had gone their separate ways in the village and had nothing to do with each other.
Sasori was arrogant, and so was Pakura.
But Pakura's pride made her headstrong and unruly. She was warm toward her comrades and subordinates.
Sasori's pride, however, was cold and aloof. He was like a scorpion; to him, the village and its bonds were nothing but meaningless nuisances.
Pakura thought Sasori was terrifying. On top of that, there were rumors in the village that the Third Kazekage hadn't gone missing—Sasori had poisoned him to death.
Pakura hadn't been the Third Kazekage's student, but she still revered the Kazekage who had devoted his life to the village.
She thought Rasa and the members of the Elder Council were all too hypocritical.
They knew perfectly well that Sasori had killed the Third Kazekage, yet kept quiet because of the pressure from Chiyo and Ebizo.
Under pressure from Madara Uchiha, they chose to turn a blind eye to Sasori's strength.
If none of you dared to do it, then I would!
A fierce heat radiated from Pakura's body, forcing away everyone gathered around Liao Wu.
Pakura strode furiously up to Liao Wu.
Rasa stepped in front of her.
"Pakura, what are you doing?"
"Get out of my way! The Third Lord's kindness was wasted on a heartless ingrate!"
At her words, Rasa deeply regretted summoning Pakura back.
It would have been better if the Mist Village had killed her.
Rasa did step aside, wanting Pakura to test Sasori. They weren't sure how strong he was anymore.
Besides, Sasori was too dangerous. He needed to understand that he couldn't just kill people in the village.
