The elders felt that leaving someone as dangerous as Sasori in the village without keeping an eye on him was unwise.
After discussing it, they ordered Pakura, "Sasori is still highly suspicious. Pakura, starting today, you'll stay by his side."
"Until Anbu confirms that Sasori poses no threat to the village, Pakura, you're not to leave his side for even a moment."
Pakura wanted to refuse, but Kurenai tugged hard on her hand.
Pakura had already offended everyone from Chiyo's side of the family. If she went on to offend the Elder Council too, there would be nowhere left for her in the village.
In the end, Pakura agreed.
Rasa exchanged a few polite words, and everyone went their separate ways.
Chiyo, Ebizo, Sasori's former subordinates, and a huge crowd of Puppet Masters escorted Liao Wu home, as if he were the village's Kazekage.
Claw watched Liao Wu's back from behind the crowd, Heimaru at her side.
"Hundred Puppet Technique—controlling one hundred puppets at once. Sasori of the Red Sands really is Sand Village's most talented Puppet Master."
Heimaru frowned as he watched Liao Wu's back. "I still think that guy's suspicious. He's kind of a dog."
Claw squeezed Heimaru's head. "And you aren't?"
"Come on. Let's go back, have a good meal, and get some rest. In a few days, we'll be able to leave this hellhole."
How was life in Sand Village?
It was simply no place for people to live. No wonder the Land of Wind desperately coveted the fertile lands of the Land of Fire.
Chiyo chased away Sasori's former subordinates and the Puppet Masters, all of whom seemed ready to shine Liao Wu's shoes.
She couldn't send Pakura and Kurenai away.
The Elder Council was still wary of Sasori. They wouldn't be at ease
