After dealing with Pakura, Liao Wu left her room. Pakura watched helplessly as he walked away, unable to stop him.
Liao Wu wondered where Sasori, who should have been guarding the door, had gone.
"Where's Sasori?"
Nekomata appeared on Liao Wu's shoulder and said, "Sasori went to get the Third Kazekage back from Candy, then went to deal with the Sand Village Elder Group."
Liao Wu nodded, then left Pakura's Home with Nekomata.
Pakura's relentless defense had been Sunagakure's best means of keeping Liao Wu in check. She'd kept him under control for so long—there was no denying that she was stronger than Rasa and Chiyo.
Now that Liao Wu had broken through her defenses, Sunagakure might as well have been his backyard. He could do whatever he wanted.
Kurenai appeared at the doorway, a Kunai in her hand, and took an attacking stance.
"Are you going to capture Shukaku, sir?"
Liao Wu turned around and looked at Kurenai with his Crimson Sharingan.
Seeing her face reminded him of Rin, the sweet girl who had once come to ask him to teach her Medical Ninjutsu.
Liao Wu looked at Kurenai. "Aren't you afraid of me?"
"I am, but I'm a Ninja of the Sand Village. I won't let you destroy my village."
"Don't worry. It's not like I refuse to eat Beef. I'm not going to kill just anyone."
"Perhaps this village will belong to me someday."
Liao Wu didn't act. Nekomata cast an Illusion Technique, and Kurenai collapsed onto the ground.
Then Nekomata transformed into a Great White Tiger, a massive white tiger with glaring eyes and a white forehead, and carried Liao Wu toward the place where Chiyo was sealing Shukaku.
Only then, riding on Nekomata's back, did Liao Wu receive a signal from Temari through the Spore.
