Chapter Summaries

Squid Ball witnessed the Elf chieftain entrusting the ancient book and nine Sacred Stone Slabs to a younger elf as their people faced extinction. Ling Chu learned that the Holy Army had one slab, while reviving Undead Island’s latest skeleton harvest advanced her Ghost Pirate profession to Tier 4.

• Squid Ball saw the Elf chieftain explain that the Tree of Luga was withering and charge a younger elf with preserving the ancient book and protecting the nine Sacred Stone Slabs from “It.”
• Squid Ball described the vision to Ling Chu and the others, and Ling Chu wondered who “It” was and why the elves had failed to avert their extinction.
• Clumsy Bear told Ling Chu that Zhen Qingshan had said the Holy Army took the Stone Tablet, and Ling Chu counted the slabs she had learned about so far.
• Squid Ball resolved to translate the entire Elven Ancient Book so the Elf race’s history would endure.
• Ling Chu collected twenty skeletons from Undead Island and revived them, bringing her total past two hundred and advancing her Ghost Pirate profession to Tier 4.

Ling Chu tested her new Ghostly Steps (Advanced) and Ghostly Eyes skills, then upgraded the Ghost Ship to level six. The ship gained greater durability, speed, capacity, and new wind abilities, and Ling Chu prepared to test its shield.

• Ling Chu used Ghostly Eyes to view Da Huang, Homelock, and Fluffball, then stopped the link after feeling You Jiali rub Fluffball’s ears.

• Ling Chu discovered the new Ally Channel and read messages from allies, including You Jiali’s offer to share his recipe for peppercorn fish.
• Huang Xiaowen told Ling Chu that Squid Ball had been in the Divination Room since before dawn to predict the next disaster.

• Squid Ball said she would not share her divination because the Holy Army annoyed her, setting off a dispute in the Public Chat Channel over who was to blame.

• Players' public complaints about the Holy Army faded after supporters and private warnings silenced them, while Ling Chu focused on preparing for the coming disaster.
• Ling Chu reviewed the Ghost Ship's supplies and planned to use Sunshades, damp burlap, fans, and heat-tolerant crops to cope with the extreme heat.

Babu revealed that the sea bordered the Netherworld Domain of the Departed and that the dead they saw at night were real souls, leaving Ling Chu shaken by the danger they had survived.

• Ling Chu and her crew shared their Intelligence gains, then realized the Ghost Ship remained trapped in lifeless waters with no islands, reefs, or fish in sight.
• Ling Chu blew her Babu Youyou Whistle, and Babu arrived on his reindeer-drawn sleigh, freezing a path across the sea.

Ling Chu and the others learned how Netherworld Power had trapped them in illusions and why some of the dead they expected to see were absent. Meanwhile, Little Girl Stepping on Mushrooms arrived at Seashell City, where she heard that the City Lord was welcoming the Holy Army and planned to honor the Goddess of Light.

• Babu Youyou explained that Netherworld Power had magnified the group’s desires to lure them toward the Forbidden Sea, and warned that their tainted souls might let them see ghosts.
• Squid Ball wondered why Zhang Da Xian’s corpse had not appeared, and Ling Chu realized Little Girl Stepping on Mushrooms had also been missing from the scenes.
• Babu Youyou explained that some souls could be trapped elsewhere instead of entering the Netherworld Domain, including souls attached to skeletons.
• Little Girl Stepping on Mushrooms reached the bustling Seashell City after drifting across the sea and eagerly eyed its many potential victims.
• Little Girl Stepping on Mushrooms overheard merchants say the City Lord planned to build a statue of the Goddess of Light and rename Seashell City Bright City after receiving the Holy Army.

Little Girl Stepping on Mushrooms searched Bright City for its Island Core while secretly feeding on a drunkard’s soul. Meanwhile, Babu Youyou pulled Ling Chu’s Ghost Ship across the Forbidden Sea, and Ling Chu tossed a glittering drift bottle into the water before bed.

• Little Girl Stepping on Mushrooms decided to learn about Bright City before searching for its Island Core and plotting revenge on Ling Chu.
• Little Girl Stepping on Mushrooms followed a drunkard into an alley, killed him, and consumed his soul to relieve her hunger.
• Babu Youyou pulled the Ghost Ship across the Forbidden Sea with his elk powers and told Ling Chu it would take a full day and night to reach the boundary.
• Babu Youyou stopped after smelling You Jiali’s Honey Pudding, ate five plates, then transformed back into an elk and resumed pulling the ship.

Ling Chu summoned Baboo Zhizhi to the Ghost Ship to do business, but he arrived furious about the Mysterious Fruits she had taken. Babu Youyou revealed that Baboo Zhizhi was his younger brother, stopped him from attacking Ling Chu, and ordered him to show his wares.

• Ling Chu spotted Baboo Zhizhi approaching the Ghost Ship on his Glass Bottle Raft.

• Ling Chu bought three Eyeball Fish, Stealth Canvas, and Friend Coupons from Baboo Zhizhi for 53,000 Sea Shells, and he secretly gave her coordinates to his third sister's island.
• Ling Chu and the Skeleton Henchmen fitted the Ghost Ship with Stealth Canvas, and she activated its new Stealth function.
• Babu Youyou transformed into a giant elk and pulled the Ghost Ship through the night toward the edge of the Forbidden Sea.

Ling Chu and the crew escaped the Yin Yang Sea Trench after Babu Youyou dragged the Ghost Ship across it and Huang Xiaowen saved Lingering Wind and Fading Moon with her skill. Babu Youyou explained that the trench was guarded by Netherworld Undead and that the Forbidden Sea entrance had hidden itself again.

• Ling Chu activated the Ghost Ship's Wind Shield as Babu Youyou pulled the ship into the air to escape the approaching giant.
• The giant's hand shattered the Wind Shield and reached the stern, but Huang Xiaowen swapped Lingering Wind and Fading Moon with a Wooden Bucket.
• Babu Youyou dragged the Ghost Ship across the Yin Yang Sea Trench, and the giant hand withdrew after touching the opposite shore.
• The Ghost Ship landed in normal waters, and Babu Youyou identified the attackers as Netherworld Undead formed from wrongfully dead souls.

Babu Youyou woke aboard Ling Chu’s ship, gave Ling Chu a precious summoning whistle, and left after receiving food. Ling Chu then released Xia Chunying onto a raft and sent the Ghost Ship away, leaving Xia Chunying stranded and pleading with Autumn Snow for rescue.

• Babu Youyou woke after five hours of sleep, accepted honey water and homemade snacks from You Jiali, and decided to leave.
• Babu Youyou gave Ling Chu a golden whistle, asking that future Honey Pudding be made by You Jiali, then rode away in his sleigh.

• Xia Chunying contacted Autumn Snow, who promised to send a ship to pick her up, while Xia asked for food and freshwater.
• Ling Chu continued steering the Ghost Ship north toward the island where Titch and the others had found the Elven Stone Slab, hoping to find Lucas and avenge them.
• Andrew demonstrated that his Condensation Device could produce cold water, and Ling Chu asked him to make at least thirty units before the heat disaster.

• Ling Chu realized the crew still needed air conditioning and asked Star River Enters Dream to find a Mana air conditioner in exchange for information about the next disaster.
• Star River Enters Dream posted a purchase request in public chat, then accepted Ling Chu's sea shells to buy two Colorful Rolling Megaphones and continue advertising.
• Huang Xiaowen told Ling Chu she wanted to use a Public Challenge Selection Card to level up her Gambler class.
