The Namekian said to Goku, "That's a sapling of the Aki Tree. Before the climate changed, Planet Namek was covered in Aki Trees. They say it was an incredibly beautiful planet, but now both the Namekians and the Aki Trees are on the verge of extinction."
"We're working hard to grow Aki Tree saplings so the planet can regain its former beauty." Chen asked the Namekian, "Hey, what's your name?" The little Namekian lifted his head. "Dende!"

Bulma was puzzled and followed them out. "What's going on now? Has someone else arrived?" Chen said to Bulma, "No... that's not it! The ki... it's gradually disappearing."
"I'm afraid another group of Namekians has been killed." Dende came outside and heard their conversation. "We know the one responsible... It's Vegeta. He's attacking another village."
