Vegeta slowly descended, his throat aching terribly from Zarbon's attack. He was furious. "No... This can't be happening... I got stronger on Earth..."
Zarbon flew down after him and struck. Vegeta couldn't fight back at all. As he descended, Zarbon kept slamming Vegeta into the ground. "I won't let you off easy."
Zarbon gleefully beat Vegeta, who was utterly powerless to retaliate. Finally, Zarbon grabbed him from behind and performed a meteor drop, hurtling toward the ground at tremendous speed. Just before they hit, Zarbon threw him down.
A Great Explosion erupted as Vegeta crashed into the ground. Zarbon flew off to the side and looked at the crater, shrouded in smoke. "Vegeta, is that it? He hasn't come out, and there's no movement. Looks like he drowned."
The impact had blown open the riverbank, and water was pouring into the crater. Seeing this, Zarbon returned to his terrifying appearance to normal. "That took a lot of time. It even made me turn into that ugly form."
"All right, I'll report to Lord Frieza first!" With that, he flew away. As soon as he was gone, Vegeta climbed out. Gasping for breath, he used the last of his strength to drag himself onto the bank.
