King Kai lowered his head and told Yamcha, "Vegeta is dead."
"Vegeta? That guy? How did he die?" Yamcha asked, looking doubtful.
King Kai told him, "Yes. Frieza killed him. He worked himself to the bone under Frieza's orders, only to be killed for betraying him in the end. How tragic. Where is the Saiyans' pride?"
"Is Frieza really that terrifying?" King Kai told him, "This was a forbidden taboo that should never have been touched..." "Damn it! Facing a scoundrel like that, even Chen... What can Chen do?"
"He intends to fight. It seems he still wants to defeat Frieza." They had all placed their hopes in Chen alone. A tear still clung to the corner of Vegeta's eye.
Son Goten was furious, yet deeply reluctant. His eyes flashed, and he blasted a huge crater into the ground nearby. Then Chen lifted Vegeta into his arms.
"I know you couldn't accept the Saiyan race meeting its end like this, and you hated being forced to obey Frieza even more." As Chen spoke, he laid Vegeta in the crater. "You may have been detestable, but you were the pride of the Saiyans."
Chen then buried Vegeta. "Let me share some of that pride..." Goku stood up and looked at Frieza. "I'm a Saiyan who grew up on Earth. For the Saiyans who died unjustly, and for the Namekians here, I'm going to defeat you."
Chen had made his feelings clear. Frieza merely sneered. "You've got a big mouth." Now, awakened by the pride of the Saiyans, just how incredible was Chen's power?
Piccolo watched Son Goten from behind. "When did Son Goten get that kind of power?" Chen gave him a look, and Piccolo immediately understood. "Get out of here! We'll only get in the way."
