The young man had been so thoroughly grilled that he couldn't even raise his head. Bulma hurried to his rescue. "All right, stop asking him! He's in a difficult position, after all. He's the one who saved us and the Earth!"
By now, the young man's face had turned red. They stayed there, waiting for Son Goten to arrive. Everyone was sitting in their usual spots, and the young man kept glancing in that direction.
But the moment he turned his head, he saw Vegeta staring fixedly at him. He instinctively looked away. Goku walked over to Piccolo. "Piccolo, there's something I've been meaning to ask you."
"What?"
"A year ago, when Dende and the others moved to another planet, why didn't you go with them, Piccolo?" Piccolo smiled. "It's simple. I didn't want to live a boring life without any excitement."
"So you've been training hard this whole time?"
"Yeah."
Bulma sat down beside Krillin. "Vegeta, too. He's never around during the day. He must be training hard somewhere."
"He's dead set on beating Chen, anyway. That guy's got a lot of pride. He's the Saiyan Prince, after all." Bulma looked over at Vegeta and said to Krillin, "Don't you think they're a lot alike?" Krillin looked intrigued.
Bulma whispered to Krillin, "That mysterious boy and Vegeta—I can't help feeling they're a little alike." After hearing that, Krillin thought she might be right.
The young man kept glancing at Vegeta. At last, Vegeta addressed him directly. "Why have you been staring at me this whole time? If you really are a Saiyan, you should know who I am."
The young man lowered his head and spoke sheepishly. "I'm terribly sorry..." Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu were resting nearby. "I think that guy probably met Chen on another planet," Tien said.
