Cell had been driven mad by his own predicament. "Impossible! How can anyone accept something this absurd?" He charged again, attacking Vegeta in the air.
Cell attacked at just the right moment, but Vegeta was already waiting for him in the sky. He fired a Galick Gun at Cell, driving him straight to the ocean floor with a single hit, then unleashed a relentless barrage.
Even after Cell had fallen into the sea, Vegeta still refused to let him off. He attacked him fiercely, blow after blow, then landed one final, devastating strike that sent up a massive wave.
Cell was now beneath the sea, and Vegeta dived in after him. Cell refused to come out, but Vegeta went looking for him. A hand reached up from the seabed, grabbed Cell, and dragged him down!
Vegeta punched him in the stomach, flipped backward and kicked him in the back, then struck upward from below and sent him flying out of the water. Vegeta followed him up, and then Cell fell into the sea again!
Vegeta kept toying with Cell, savoring the chance to torment a monster. He hated Cell because he couldn't accept that his own cells had helped create such a disgusting creature.
The monster leaped out of the water and looked up at Vegeta, who stood on a rock. Vegeta mocked him. "That must've been quite a shock, Cell! Let me tell you another astonishing fact!"
"You've been keeping an eye on Trunks over there. He's not as strong as I am, but he's not far behind. It seems this is the extent of your power. You've really disappointed me! What a letdown. I thought you were supposed to be strong!"
Vegeta spat contemptuously at him. "Even if I killed you, there'd be nothing to be proud of!"
