Just as Ye Chen was at a loss over his situation, things suddenly changed. However, for Ye Chen, this change was utterly terrifying.
As Ye Chen was wondering what he should do next, he suddenly felt something strange happening to his body. It seemed to be slowly growing lighter at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Soon afterward, Ye Chen felt an intense itch in his hand, just like when his body automatically mended itself after he was injured. The itch was so deep it seemed to reach into his bones.
Ye Chen raised his hand and was horrified to discover that it was slowly dissipating! Piece by piece, the fragments detached from his palm and turned into flying ash, drifting through the void.
The dissipation quickly spread throughout his entire body. By the time Ye Chen finally remembered that he should resist, half his body had already disappeared!
"Who are you?! Why are you doing this to me?!" Ye Chen angrily shouted at the void, but this time, as usual, there was no echo.
There was only Ye Chen in this void. No matter how loudly he shouted, there was no one to hear him.
Very soon, Ye Chen could no longer shout. The other half of his body rapidly dissipated as well, and within a few breaths, Ye Chen's body had completely evaporated into the void.
