"Let's see if you've got what it takes!"
Suddenly, Sun Wukong wrapped his arms tightly around Ye Chen from behind.
"You want to hurt my master? You'll have to get past me first!" Gritting his teeth through the pain in his spine, Sun Wukong charged forward. "Wukong! Hold him down!" Tang Sanzang shouted, pulling a string of Buddhist prayer beads from his waist.
He clutched the beads in his right hand, held his left hand upright before him, and began murmuring a Buddhist sutra.
"Old monk! What are you doing?" Ye Chen never would have guessed that Sun Wukong could still move after he'd severed his spine. Just as he prepared to struggle free of Sun Wukong's hold,
the sutra murmured by Tang Sanzang seemed like a spell, closing in on Ye Chen.
Sensing something amiss around him, Ye Chen released all his Demonic Qi without hesitation. The blade-like currents of Demonic Qi carved one wound after another into Sun Wukong's body.
But even so, Sun Wukong showed no sign of loosening his grip.
The scripture snaked around Ye Chen like earthworms, sealing his eyes, nose, and mouth. Gradually, the Demonic Qi he unleashed seemed to lose its potency.
"What... did you do to me?" Ye Chen's hoarse cry struggled out of his throat.
"Nothing. It's just a simple Demon Suppressing Sutra from my Buddhist teachings," Tang Sanzang said softly, though his hands never stopped moving.
The scripture washed over Ye Chen like a tide. Slowly, the Demon Seed inside him began to show signs of fatigue.
"Heh. To suppress my demon race, Tathagata has no shortage of tricks. But it doesn't matter. Since you can't wipe us out, one day my demon race will return.
