The three of them shouted and made a commotion in the prison, and Princess Baihuaxiu happened to hear them as she passed by. She came to the prison.
She asked, "Who are you?"
"We came from the Eastern Tang Lands and are on a Journey to the West to worship Buddha and seek the scriptures," Tang Sanzang replied.
Bajie asked, "Little demon, who are you?"
Princess Baihuaxiu replied, "I am the princess of Baoxiang Kingdom."
Bajie was shocked. "So you're Princess Baihuaxiu! Your father ordered us to rescue you, but we weren't strong enough for the job. Heh heh heh."
"So Father sent you to rescue me. I've wanted so badly to see him, too. It's been so many years, and he never gave up searching for me." As she spoke, Princess Baihuaxiu began to cry.
Princess Baihuaxiu said, "I've been here for sixteen years. Although the Yellow Robe Monster has treated me well, he has never trusted me and won't let me return to see my father. Since you've come, I'll make sure to help you escape."
With that, Princess Baihuaxiu left. She found the Yellow Robe Monster and coaxed him with sweet words and drinks until she got him drunk. Then she ran to the prison.
"Get up, quickly. Keep your voices down. I've gotten the Yellow Robe Monster drunk. Hurry and get out of here," Princess Baihuaxiu said.
"Princess, come with us," Bajie said.
"I won't go. If I leave, the Yellow Robe Monster will surely make things difficult for my father," Princess Baihuaxiu said.
They were short on time and couldn't afford to delay. After quietly leaving the cave, they immediately flew toward Baoxiang Kingdom.
When they returned to Baoxiang Kingdom, the king saw that the princess had not come back and asked, "Why hasn't the
