The old demon quickly begged for mercy, promising not to hurt Tang Sanzang and the others. He also promised to bring a sedan chair for Tang Sanzang to ride out of Lion Camel Ridge. After hearing him out, Sun Wukong agreed to come out of his belly.
Sun Wukong told the old demon to open his mouth, then climbed out of his belly. But suddenly, there was a sharp crack! The demon's teeth had fallen out.
As it turned out, the demon had been guessing when Sun Wukong would come out and planned to snap his jaws shut and bite him to death. Instead, he bit down on the Golden Cudgel and shattered his own teeth.
Seeing this, Sun Wukong refused to leave the old demon's belly. He began causing trouble inside with the Golden Cudgel, leaping up and down, rolling around, and punching and kicking. The old demon cried out in pain, begging for mercy.
The Third King said to Sun Wukong, "That's cheating. What's the point of winning like that? It's not an honorable victory at all, and none of us will accept it."
Unable to resist the taunt, Sun Wukong plucked out a hair and turned it into a rope. He tied one end to the demon's liver, held the other end in his hand, and climbed out through the demon's nose.
Once he was out, Sun Wukong raised his cudgel and attacked. But now he was alone. How could one man stand against three? Before long, he was at a disadvantage.
Sun Wukong chanted an incantation and took a fan-shaped weapon from his robes, aiming it at the three demons. Arrows streamed from the weapon, filling the sky as they rained down on the trio.
