He also told them that he had subdued the little demon, giving them another powerful ally in their fight against the Heavenly Court.
Ye Chen and Sun Wukong nodded in agreement.
Half an hour later, the woman awoke. She found herself reeking, with six men staring intently at her.
A piercing scream rang out. A gust of wind swept through, and the female demon vanished without a trace.
When she appeared again, she was fully dressed and no longer smelled at all. She knelt before Tang Sanzang and bowed, thanking him for giving her a new lease on life.
Tang Sanzang told her to get up. "We're on our way to the West to obtain the scriptures, so it's not convenient to bring you along. But I can find a good place for you to go. Train hard there, and don't let my efforts on your behalf go to waste."
The female demon kowtowed in gratitude, then asked, "Master, where should I go? And how can I contact you?"
Sun Wukong cut in. "You should go south and train hard. Don't slack off. Ye Chen and I will test you every year. If I catch you slacking, I won't go easy on you just because you're a female demon."
The female demon quickly agreed. Sun Wukong added, "Getting in touch with us isn't difficult."
As he spoke, he pulled a small mirror from his robe and handed it to her. "This is how you can contact us. Whenever we need you, this mirror will pass along our message. It can also change into whatever shape you want."
