A World of Its Own

Ye Chen hurried out of the cave with Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong, but they were all too badly injured to travel far.

So Ye Chen called over the Land God and asked if there was anywhere nearby with abundant spiritual energy. The Land God thought for a moment, then said, "There's a Treasure Land to the east. Spiritual energy is thick there, making it an excellent place to cultivate. But..."

"But what?" Ye Chen pressed.

"But a giant python guards it. Ordinary people can't get in, and that python is incredibly powerful. It can swallow everyone within a ten-mile radius in a single gulp," the Land God said.

Ye Chen considered it. It wouldn't be wise to take Tang Sanzang and the others there just yet, so he asked the Land God to come with him. First, he would find somewhere safe to leave his companions and have the Land God watch over them. After subduing the monster, he would come back for them.

The Land God nodded. Ye Chen still wasn't reassured, so before leaving, he gave them a Protective Shield to keep them safe inside. Then he set off.

Ye Chen rode his cloud eastward. Before long, he spotted a powerful surge of spiritual energy in the distance, shooting straight into the sky. This must be the place, he thought.

He swooped down and saw a Stone Tablet standing there. It read: A World of Its Own.

Ye Chen went inside and indeed found a giant python crawling along a tree trunk. All around it lay countless Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, radiating a rich aura.

As soon as Ye Chen entered, the giant python opened its eyes and stared straight at him. Its forked tongue flicked out now and then with a hiss.
