Shinozuka watched the direction Uchiha Chen had gone, glaring with bluster that barely concealed his fear. He was afraid Chen would turn back, but then realized Chen was already far away.

He couldn't help but snort. "Hmph! You killed Lord Genma. There's no way we'll let this go. Don't think you're so great just because you're a ninja. You dare provoke someone from the Wise Family..."

Shinozuka was furious at Chen's disregard for him, but when he faced Chen, he had felt utterly helpless.

There truly wasn't a man in the Land of Demons whom Mizushi hadn't sampled. After hearing this bit of gossip, the great noblewoman couldn't very well go to the tavern herself, so she sent her trusted subordinates instead.

As it turned out, Genma was an idiot who abused Mizushi's favor without restraint.
