The Blame Game

Under Uchiha Chen's fierce pressure, more and more people died, unable to endure the pain.

Under the pressure of the vacuum, they all turned into limp piles of flesh, a sight so brutal it was hard to bear.

Ninja after ninja died. The number killed by Chen's single attack alone surpassed the casualties of an entire war.

"Me? I'm no demon." Uchiha Chen chuckled, revealing his pearly white teeth. No one would have guessed that someone so sunny and gentle could be a demon who killed without blinking.

"People always die in war, don't they? Since you were prepared to come here, you should've been prepared to die, too." Uchiha Chen's mocking voice passed through the vacuum and entered everyone's minds.

"I never said I was a good person. When you're out in the world, you eventually have to pay for what you've done. When you first raised your blades to slaughter others, did you ever think that one day someone might slaughter you?"

Chen's icy voice echoed in everyone's minds.

"War, for the village, protecting civilians. Those words sound so noble. Do you think using them as a grand excuse means you have nothing to feel guilty about?"

"You make it sound so righteous, but aren't you really just doing it for your own interests? And how many of you ninja truly care about civilians? How many of you have ever genuinely considered their needs?"

"No! None of you. Not a single one!"

Chen's words struck like a thunderclap, leaving many faces flushed with shame and anger.

It was true. When they said they were fighting for the village and protecting civilians, in the end, they were still doing it for themselves.
