Master Roshi in particular had once fought King Piccolo. He knew what King Piccolo represented and was familiar with the aura he gave off. This man had none of that evil presence, but his detestable face was exactly the same.
"You don't need to doubt me. I really am this world's Kami. King Piccolo has been resurrected by a man named Pilaf. He's regained his strength, and even grown stronger."
As soon as Kami finished speaking, even Son Goten was completely baffled. He immediately asked, "Old Kami, how did he manage to regain his youthful strength? And it seems his underlings have gotten stronger, too."
"Some things happened back then, and it's partly my fault. The rice cooker that King Piccolo was sealed in fell into the depths of the sea, but it was damaged down there and swept into a strange area. I only learned about all these changes in the last few years. In that place, King Piccolo was barely affected by the passage of time."
"Even more terrifyingly, he can draw strength from me. That's why I've grown older and weaker."
"Oh, so that's why you're so old and weak now. That explains why your Combat Power is much lower than I expected."
Son Goten thought it over. That did seem right. In the original story, Kami at this point was definitely stronger than many powerful fighters.
Goku, who had defeated King Piccolo after he regained his youth and vitality, had a Combat Power of 𐄂. Yet when he swung with all his strength, Kami could easily stop him with one finger.
In other words, even an aged Kami had at least 𐄂
