Su Mu recognized the man at once from his strange bodysuit and the bizarre bull's-eye on his forehead. Bullseye!
The dagger from moments ago had obviously been thrown by him.
Su Mu immediately recalled Bullseye's identity. In many versions, he served Kingpin. He had attacked Su Mu on Kingpin's orders, no doubt.
Against anyone else—even another superhuman—Bullseye's superb skills would have let him drive a dagger straight through their body. But Su Mu was different. Even with his energy nearly exhausted, he could still use the Six Eyes to track the dagger's attack!
Still, where did Bullseye get his confidence?
Did he really think an ordinary man with some skill could assassinate him?
Bullseye looked at the white-haired man before him. He was strong—far stronger than expected!
Bullseye had aimed for the man's head, but even though he was clearly badly depleted, he had still dodged the dagger.
The dagger Bullseye had used was partly made of Adamantium Alloy, an incredibly hard metal that could destroy almost anything. With Adamantium Alloy in it, his thrown dagger could even approach the speed of sound!
The white-haired man had dodged it. He clearly had abilities beyond spatial manipulation—perhaps a superhuman physique or some other means?
If the man before him had still been at his peak, Bullseye wouldn't even have dared approach him. But things were completely different now!
"Looks like releasing that terrifying attack just now took a serious toll on you. Even your reaction speed has been greatly reduced.
"If you were at full strength, I'd have no chance against you. But now... hahaha! There's nothing more delightful than personally killing a powerful opponent!"
Bullseye trembled with excitement. As a top-tier assassin, what could be more satisfying than killing someone powerful and untouchable?
But to his surprise, the man showed no sign of panic, as though Bullseye's threat didn't exist.
As if—even a sickly tiger could still tear apart a cat foolish enough to provoke it!
And the gap between them was far greater than that between a tiger and a cat!
A foreboding feeling came over him. He immediately hurled the Adamantium Alloy daggers in his hands, but the man dodged most of them.
Still, one dagger struck him, which gave Bullseye some relief.
The man no longer looked invincible!
Su Mu used what little energy he had left to strengthen his body and evade the attacks. With the Six Eyes, he immediately sensed the daggers' unusual material and realized that their impossibly hard composition was what had let Bullseye pierce his defenses so easily.
But he remained utterly calm. How could an ordinary man dare challenge a god? Not everyone was Iron Man!
Unhurriedly, he asked:
"Kingpin sent you to assassinate me, didn't he?"
Bullseye didn't answer. Instead, he threw his daggers even faster and pulled out a gun, firing at Su Mu. But the Six Eyes tracked every shot, and Su Mu easily dodged them.
Even without Bullseye's answer, Su Mu confirmed his suspicion by studying the details of his body through the Six Eyes. Then he continued:
"Tell me where Kingpin is, and I'll spare your life. How about it?"
Bullseye still didn't answer. He only attacked faster and sneered:
"You can barely save yourself, and you think you'll spare my life? Go to hell!"
As he spoke, he somehow produced a rocket launcher and fired at Su Mu.
Only after the rocket exploded in front of Su Mu, engulfing him in a massive burst of flame, did Bullseye finally breathe a sigh of relief.
He must be dead. He hadn't expected the white-haired man to be so difficult to deal with, even after losing so much energy.
Then Bullseye grinned excitedly. Killing a powerful opponent filled him with delight!
"You seem happy. Think it's over already?"
The voice from within the flames suddenly froze the smile on his face. He heard a wall shatter, and then the devil's voice rang out again:
"I'll give you one last chance. Tell me where Kingpin is, and I'll make your death quick and painless!"
He stared at Su Mu in disbelief. As the smoke cleared, the man stood before him, completely unharmed.
A mass of shrapnel floated in front of him. Just like the bullets before, none of it could get even an inch closer.
One of his hands was buried in the stone wall of the sewer. The dim lights around him grew even darker, while the wounds on the white-haired man's body rapidly healed!
Bullseye realized at once: he was absorbing electricity!
"You... you have another mutant ability!"
The moment he understood, he turned and fled with all his strength.
"Damn it, damn it! He has another mutant ability—and it's Energy Absorption, which lets him quickly replenish his power! Who could possibly beat him now?
"Damn Kingpin! I'm not taking this job. Let someone else volunteer to die!"
But a terrifying force of attraction came from behind him. Even though his body was far stronger than an ordinary person's, he couldn't fight it.
As Bullseye watched in despair, he floated in front of Su Mu. Then a terrible force twisted and cruelly snapped all four of his limbs, leaving him completely unable to resist!
The instant the rocket launcher came flying, Su Mu used the energy he had replenished from the kinetic force of the flying knives and the sunlight to activate the Limitless Technique. He strengthened his body, thrust an arm through the wall, grabbed the cables inside, and absorbed their electricity.
As he absorbed a massive amount of electricity, the Reverse Cursed Technique and the Limitless Technique activated again, restoring him to full strength!
The Adamantium Alloy daggers embedded in his body were pushed out by the growing flesh and fell to the ground. His wounds healed in an instant.
Seeing Bullseye flee, Su Mu smiled brightly. Then he slightly curled a finger and teased:
"Almighty Push!"
After pulling Bullseye over and twisting his limbs into knots, Su Mu asked again:
"Well? What have you decided? Tell me nicely, and I'll make your death quick and painless!"
Bullseye looked at the white devil before him. Beneath his white lashes, those exquisite azure eyes were fixed on him with a mocking gaze.
For some reason, he saw a strange blackish crimson glint in those beautiful eyes!
After tearing Bullseye's twisted body completely apart, leaving behind only a few Adamantium Alloy bones, Su Mu finally confirmed that he didn't know where Kingpin was.
Kingpin was an extremely cautious man. He stayed somewhere different every day, and even his closest confidants didn't know his exact plans for the following day.
With his hands in his pockets, Su Mu walked slowly forward. The blood and shrapnel floating behind him quickly fell to the ground.
It was a shame he couldn't learn Kingpin's exact whereabouts, but it didn't matter.
As the Six Eyes continued to level up, its range of observation and its ability to see through things would keep improving.
Once his field of vision covered all of New York, Kingpin would be nothing more than an insect he could crush at will!
The cables in the sewer walls were wrenched out by the force of gravity and floated around Su Mu, supplying him with energy.
