However, Su Mu knew that successfully executing Technique Reversal "Red" earlier had been pure luck. If he tried again, he probably wouldn't succeed.

Moreover, that previous Technique Reversal "Red" was incomplete—a massive amount of energy had leaked and dissipated. If he used it in that state, he'd likely run dry after just two uses.

So until he gained practical experience and proper usage methods for Technique Reversal "Red" through the character template, it was best not to use it.

The energy drain was one thing, but if the uncontrolled energy leakage hit his brain, that would be a real problem.

His current Reverse Cursed Technique wasn't advanced enough to regenerate from losing his brain.

Aside from the increased energy reserves, the faster absorption speed was also a huge help to Su Mu.

If his guess was correct, he could now withstand small-caliber rifle fire and completely absorb the kinetic energy of the bullets.

This meant that even without activating the Limitless Technique, Su Mu no longer had to fear sneak attacks.

The sewer exit opened into a secluded alley. Just as Su Mu was planning to buy a new set of clothes, he suddenly noticed a girl staring at him in shock from the side.

The girl had green hair and looked dirty all over, appearing weak and helpless.

Of course, that was through ordinary eyesight. From the perspective of the Six Eyes, he could see the vast green energy hidden within her, as well as the iron objects around her that were subtly stirring.

Su Mu immediately recognized her identity—Polaris!

Polaris was Magneto's daughter, real name Lorna Dane. She possessed the power to control magnetism, and at her peak, she could even manipulate Earth's magnetic field. She was a powerful mutant on par with Magneto himself!

Su Mu had no intention of dealing with Polaris, but Polaris clearly wasn't about to let him go.

She recognized the man before her—the one the media called the most powerful mutant of the era, the greatest threat to the world, the White-Haired Demon!

He was also called the Savior and the Leader by mutants!

No matter the title, it all meant the same thing: this man was incredibly powerful, even stronger than her own father, Magneto!

Seeing Su Mu about to leave, she instinctively tried to stop him with her powers. She twisted a metal pipe fixed to the wall and sent it flying toward him, intending to block his path.

But...

Polaris stared in utter shock at what happened next. The metal she controlled, as it approached the man in front of her, suddenly became impossible to manipulate. It stopped right behind him, unable to advance even an inch.

Yet instead of being disappointed, she grew even more excited. The stronger Su Mu was, the more likely he could lead mutants out from under human oppression!

She was just starting to smile, about to say something to Su Mu, when her expression froze.

Su Mu slowly turned his head. His azure-blue eyes held not a trace of emotion.

Locked in the gaze of those deathly blue eyes, Polaris felt an immense pressure, as if the Grim Reaper had already placed its scythe against her neck, ready to reap her soul at any moment!

Then she heard an icy voice come from ahead, "Isn't it good to just keep living?"

Hearing this whisper like the Reaper's murmur, Polaris shuddered violently. She snapped out of her daze and quickly spoke, "I don't mean you any harm! I just want to follow you, to fight alongside you against the human government!"

But Su Mu gave no response. He walked slowly toward Polaris, each deliberate step pressing down on her with immense pressure, as if an unstoppable force was pushing her into an abyss called death.

Under the lethal threat, she instinctively used her ability, manipulating a mass of metal to attack Su Mu.

But all the metal fell before Su Mu, unable to advance an inch.

Only then did she understand the weight of the White-Haired Demon. He was completely different from any mutant she had ever known—a terrifying power from another dimension!

Even as Polaris used all her strength to stop Su Mu's approach, to halt the advance of death itself, it had no effect.

Then, he cornered her against the wall. Overwhelming pressure pinned her there, leaving her unable to move.

Su Mu reinforced his body with energy, ignored Polaris before him, and drove his fingers deep into the largest metal pipe. Then he hurled it forward.

The metal pipe, propelled by his seemingly frail arm with tremendous kinetic force, embedded itself deep into the hard wall, right beside Polaris's ear.

"Beautiful lady, this is a warning. Next time, your luck won't be this good!"

Then he gently slid his index finger. The floating metal around them, ignoring Polaris's control, sank into the walls surrounding her, encasing her within.

Watching the white-haired man yawn, stride away on long legs just as he had come, Polaris mustered her courage and shouted loudly:

"You're so strong! You could do so much! You could save the mutants! Why won't you act!"

After a moment, just as she thought she had been ignored, she heard a careless voice, "What do their sufferings have to do with me?"

The White-Haired Demon ahead turned back, revealing a devilish profile and deep blue eyes. He smiled lightly:

"Don't guilt-trip me. I have no morals."
