Two Arc Reactors

Su Mu, the focus of everyone's attention, paid no mind to what anyone else thought.

He flexed his fingers, moving his hand back and forth. Then he said with some regret:

"Sure enough, my skill level is too low. I can't release Black Flash with perfect consistency. The odds of landing one are incredibly low..."

But he'd expected as much, so Su Mu didn't dwell on it. He lowered his gaze from his hand to Iron Monger in front of him, picked at his ear, and said casually:

"We've been at this long enough. Time to wrap things up. Wouldn't want Tony Stark to be unhappy with my service."

Then Su Mu reached out toward Iron Monger, a delighted, cruel smile on his face.

"Technique Reversal: Azure, maximum output!"

Obadiah sensed something was wrong the instant Su Mu extended his hand. He fired every weapon he had in a single burst.

The explosion from those weapons could have leveled an entire street, but a blue-black hole absorbed them all, without so much as a ripple.

The missiles Obadiah had pinned all his hopes on had been neutralized with such ease!

"No, this can't be!"

As Obadiah stared in disbelief, Su Mu grinned and pushed the blue-black hole toward him.

Once his missiles had failed, Obadiah immediately fled, engaging every thruster at full power. He shot ten meters away in an instant.

Just as he began to relax, he realized Iron Monger had stopped moving. Even with the thrusters cranked to maximum, he was still drifting slowly backward.

And behind him was the terrifying blue-black hole, as though it could devour everything!

"No!"

Obadiah forced the thrusters beyond their limits, overclocking them. But even as they overheated, glowed red, and began to melt, they couldn't stop him from being drawn toward the blue-black hole. If anything, he was moving faster and faster!

Then, before Tony Stark's conflicted gaze, under the solemn watch of Agent Coulson, who had just arrived, and in full view of the gathered civilians, the Iron Monger who had been so invincible a moment earlier was swallowed by the terrifying blue-black hole.

Ten centimeters of Titanium Alloy couldn't withstand the dreadful pull. First the legs, then the torso, and finally the head twisted out of shape and vanished into the blue-black hole!

As for the one who had made it all happen—the man they hadn't believed in—he merely yawned and walked out of the dust kicked up by the explosion. His white hoodie was still spotless, though his hair was a little messy.

The White-Haired Demon had once again shown the world his overwhelming presence and absolute dominion. He was the strongest!

After taking care of Iron Monger, Su Mu walked slowly toward Tony Stark. He curled a hand behind his back, and a strange, glowing object that emitted white light was drawn to him by gravity. It flew into his hand: Iron Monger's power source, an Arc Reactor!

The moment he grasped the reactor, Su Mu sensed the vast energy contained within it. His Six Eyes and Energy Absorption both went into overdrive.

Once his reserves were fully replenished, the system absorbed the remaining energy and fed it into the Gojo Satoru template.

Even though raising the template fusion rate had grown harder after it reached 30%, it continued to increase steadily, hardly any slower than before.

Going by the pattern so far, he'd gain a new skill when the fusion rate reached 40%.

He was looking forward to it. What would the new skill be?

Could it be Reverse Cursed Technique: Red?

Even its minimum power was twice that of Technique Reversal: Azure at maximum power!

As Su Mu reached Tony Stark, the system prompt appeared:

Template Fusion Rate: 31%

Tony Stark was in a sorry state. His iron helmet was long gone, and even one of his gauntlets had disappeared.

The Arc Reactor in his chest was flickering constantly, clearly almost out of power.

When Su Mu approached, Phil Coulson instinctively took a step back. It was an unconscious reaction to a powerful predator.

And Su Mu was even more terrifying than a powerful predator.

Tony Stark, however, showed no sign of fear. He came up beside Su Mu and studied him with intense curiosity.

"How did you do that just now? Some kind of mysterious future technology? Was that strange defense some kind of spatial technology?"

Coulson also looked curious, hoping to learn more about the White-Haired Demon.

Hearing Tony Stark's question, Su Mu smiled and explained:

"It's my ability."

"Mutants, then?" Tony Stark murmured. "That's incredible..."

Su Mu neither confirmed nor denied it. Aside from Energy Absorption, the rest were abilities granted by his status panel, with nothing to do with Mutants.

But he didn't correct Tony. There were plenty of abilities in the Marvel Universe designed to target Mutants. If someone ever tried to use one against him, he'd give them quite a surprise!

Tony Stark suddenly felt a pain in his chest. He looked down and saw that the Arc Reactor there had run completely dry.

He immediately glanced at the Arc Reactor in Su Mu's hand.

"Could you give that Arc Reactor back to me? I need it to keep the shrapnel in my chest from moving."

Su Mu certainly didn't want a hero he'd liked so much in his past life to die like this. He tossed the Arc Reactor to Tony Stark.

"You owe me two Arc Reactors now."

"What? That Arc Reactor was mine to begin with!"

"But it belongs to me now!"

"This... Fine..."

The man in front of him had saved his life, after all. Giving him one more Arc Reactor wasn't a big deal.

It definitely wasn't because the White-Haired Demon was so powerful. Definitely not!

Agent Cole quietly made a note that the White-Haired Demon needed Arc Reactors. It might have something to do with his abilities.

Then he pulled out his identification and addressed Su Mu.

"Hello, sir. I'm Agent Coulson with the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. I have a few questions I'd like to discuss with you."

Coulson's hair was thinning. Su Mu stared at it until Coulson felt deeply offended, then finally looked away.

"Looks like your job must be pretty exhausting."

"Oh, yes..." Coulson replied automatically, then realized what he was here for and continued:

"I was wondering if you'd be willing to join us and become an Avenger."

Su Mu wasn't surprised by Coulson's offer. Nick Fury was preparing the Avengers Initiative, so it made sense that he'd want to recruit Su Mu after seeing what he could do.

Su Mu was about to refuse, but then he remembered the Space Stone at the S.H.I.E.L.D. base, along with the Mind Stone that would soon be delivered to him. He smiled at once and said:

"Of course. I'd be happy to!"

Looking at the white-haired man's flippant, carefree smile, Coulson couldn't explain why, but he had a bad feeling...
