Sorcerer Supreme Tony Stark?

When the bald woman stepped out of the portal, Su Mu recognized her despite her looking different from her movie-universe counterpart.

The Sorcerer Supreme!

The moment he saw her, every muscle fiber in Su Mu's body tensed. He used Cursed Energy and energy enhancement to strengthen his entire body, focused his mind completely, and pushed his Six Eyes to their limits. He reached the peak of his abilities!

Faced with a Father-Level Expert, even Su Mu dared not let his guard down for an instant!

Tony looked at the bald woman before him, then studied the portal behind her. He suddenly felt that ever since he had publicly admitted he was Iron Man, the whole world had gradually become a stranger to him.

First came the White-Haired Demon, then Thor's arrival in New Mexico, along with the legendary Asgard. And now a bald woman in yellow had opened a portal and barged into his home!

Pretending he was going to get a drink, Tony took cover behind Su Mu. He picked up the bottle and poured wine into two glasses, handed one to Su Mu, kept the other for himself, and asked the bald woman,

"Uh, who are you? And how did you make that ring of light behind you?

A mutant ability, some kind of technology, or another superpower?"

The Ancient One had fixed her gaze on Su Mu the moment she appeared. Now, at last, she looked away and turned her attention to Tony.

Hearing his question, The Ancient One smiled mysteriously and replied in a calm, gentle voice, "It's magic."

"Okay, magic." Tony immediately believed her. Since he'd learned that even the legendary Asgard was real, the existence of magic seemed perfectly reasonable.

"So, Sorcerer, what brings you here?"

"Strictly speaking, I'm a Sorceress." The Ancient One first corrected his mistake, then turned her attention back to Su Mu. "I'm here for this gentleman."

Tony downed the expensive red wine in his glass, then spread his hands.

"I knew it."

Since the Sorcerer Supreme had brought him up, Su Mu couldn't just sit there. He gave her a bright, genuinely friendly smile.

"Respected Sorcerer Supreme, what can I do for you?"

Tony found Su Mu's behavior utterly unbelievable. That smile was especially unsettling—how could someone whose expression usually radiated such intense malice smile so brightly?

A moment later, Tony caught the title Su Mu had used: Sorcerer Supreme!

Could this bald woman really be the Sorcerer Supreme, someone else capable of withstanding a nuclear bomb?

Faced with two monsters who could withstand a nuclear bomb, Tony felt uneasy. It seemed he'd have to start working on Sorcerer Supreme armor, in addition to armor for the White-Haired Demon!

The Sorcerer Supreme, standing opposite Su Mu, smiled brightly at his question. "I'd like you to become the next Sorcerer Supreme. I can teach you everything I know, as long as you're willing to help me protect Earth until my successor appears!"

Su Mu froze. He hadn't expected the Sorcerer Supreme to want him to take her place. Was she trying to retire early?

The thought crossed his mind, and without a moment's hesitation, he declined. "Sorry, I have no intention of becoming the Sorcerer Supreme!"

He had no intention of becoming the Sorcerer Supreme or protecting Earth.

With that time, he could keep absorbing energy and unlock more character templates. He'd surpass the Sorcerer Supreme long before long, becoming so powerful she couldn't hope to catch up!

The Sorcerer Supreme wasn't surprised. She'd already foreseen his answer and had only wanted to try. That wasn't her main reason for coming.

The Sorcerer Supreme took out a strange ring with two holes and sent it floating toward Su Mu.

"You seem to have the ability to raise your own potential. If you can master portals, you may one day be able to travel freely between dimensions!"

Su Mu examined the Suspension Ring in his hand, surprised by how easily he'd acquired it. He asked the Sorcerer Supreme,

"What do I have to pay in return?"

The Sorcerer Supreme shook her head. "You don't have to pay anything. But I suggest that you explore the parallel universes as soon as you can. The world is so vast—you should go see it..."

Su Mu's mouth twitched. Though she'd put it tactfully, he understood the Sorcerer Supreme's unspoken message: I'm not asking much. Just leave this universe alone and go cause trouble in other parallel universes!

That suited him just fine. There were so many things he wanted to witness: the Annihilation Wave, the Onslaught event, the Lost Universe, Infinity War, and countless others...

The greatest appeal of the Marvel Universe lay in the endless possibilities of its infinite parallel universes!

He couldn't let himself be bound to a single one!

Seeing Su Mu accept the Suspension Ring and knowing she'd accomplished what she came for, the Sorcerer Supreme prepared to leave. But Su Mu stopped her.

"Do you think Tony would make a good Sorcerer Supreme? With his brains, he'd be perfect for the job!"

Tony Stark hadn't expected Su Mu to bring him up out of nowhere, let alone suggest he become the Sorcerer Supreme. Even Tony didn't know what to say. He pointed at himself.

"Me?"

Su Mu pushed Tony in front of the Sorcerer Supreme, then said, "Don't you think technology and magic could create even more spectacular results if they came together?"

Tony thought it over seriously, then nodded.

Technology alone would have a hard time dealing with an existence as terrifying as Su Mu. And climbing the technological ladder took time; it couldn't give him greater power overnight. Learning magic and combining it with technology might open up an entirely new path!

At the same time, the Sorcerer Supreme looked at Tony Stark, the genius and playboy in the eyes of the world.

But her gaze was distant, as though she wasn't looking at Tony before her, but at the future beneath the river of time!

After a moment, the Sorcerer Supreme smiled. "This gentleman will make an excellent Sorcerer Supreme!"

Su Mu smiled. He knew the Sorcerer Supreme had agreed!

At Su Mu's suggestion, Tony left with the Sorcerer Supreme to study magic at Kamar-Taj.

Su Mu was confident Tony could learn magic. After all, in another universe, Tony had become the Sorcerer Supreme.

And the Sorcerer Supreme's willingness to consider the idea meant Tony must have a talent for it!

With a backpack slung over his shoulder, Su Mu strode through the air, heading straight for Washington.

The bag held ten Arc Reactors, enough to keep Su Mu going for the time being.

By the time those Arc Reactors ran out of energy, he'd probably have obtained the Infinity Gems.

With Energy Absorption at level 4, Su Mu could now travel at more than Mach 10. It would take him only a little over ten minutes to fly from Black's Beach in San Diego, California, to Washington.

His destination was the White House, the political center of the United States!

He'd come to return the military's gift in kind!

But as he neared the White House, he discovered it had already descended into chaos!
