Setting aside the "Lecturer" Vill-V, who vanished after bearing the Law of Retribution.
The eight personalities differed from one another, yet together they formed the individual known as Vill-V.
Vill-V stood at the pinnacle of human intellect. Everything lay within her calculations. She represented all the humans who had never appeared onstage, which was also the meaning behind her words: "My name is Legion."
My name is Legion, for we are many.
She divided her mind into eight pieces, each one capable of genius, allowing a mortal body to stand shoulder to shoulder with gods.
"The Conductor," "the Expert," "the Grand Magician," "the Chef, Vill-V: Gourmet," "Vill-V of the Overlooking Stars," "Vill-V: Model Five"...
The original personality, the "Fraudster."
And the imprisoned Vill-V of "Extreme Evil," who bore all malice.
All of them were parts of her.
No individual personality could be called the true Vill-V. The Fraudster gave birth to the other Vill-Vs, and those other Vill-Vs, in turn, formed the complete Fraudster.
Within Vill-V's memories, the first one the two saw was the "Expert." She was conducting experiments and measuring data with extreme rigor. Though she was somewhat difficult to get along with, the Expert might have been the most normal Vill-V.
"It appears the component's diameter does not match its parameters. I should report it to the materials department." A moment later, she returned to the laboratory, but there was a subtle difference in her expression. She was now Vill-V the Grand Magician.
"So this is [my] new creation? Its appearance is far too ordinary, isn't it? Since it is a groundbreaking invention, it naturally needs a flamboyant exterior to match." Vill-V the Grand Magician made several modifications to the creation, then left in satisfaction.
