Jiraiya's heart churned like a storm-tossed sea, his shock refusing to settle.

He had only returned to Konoha with a trace of curiosity and concern, wanting to see the child of his disciple Minato Namikaze—Naruto. Yet the mysterious ability Naruto had just displayed completely exceeded his expectations.

"What... what is this power?" Jiraiya muttered inwardly, his eyes flickering with inquiry and astonishment.

Just as Jiraiya was lost in his shock, Naruto had already placed his hands behind his head and strolled off casually.

His steps were light and carefree, as if everything that had just happened was nothing more than a minor episode.

Before long, Jiraiya snapped out of it, strode quickly to Naruto's side, and spoke up: "I hear there's a Chunin Exam in a month. How about This Sage gives you some special training?"

Naruto paused slightly at the words. What a clumsy way to start a conversation. This guy must know me, he thought.

Though he didn't know Jiraiya's intentions, Naruto sensed no malice from him.

If he could have such a powerful ninja teach him, it would undoubtedly be a rare opportunity.

What's more, Naruto was deeply curious about the title "Sage" that Jiraiya claimed for himself.

Judging by the aura Jiraiya gave off, it wasn't an empty boast.

So Naruto answered readily: "Sure!"

This caught Jiraiya off guard as well. He hadn't expected this seemingly cocky kid to agree so easily.

But he quickly recovered, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. Looks like this kid's got some spirit, he mused to himself.

And so, the two hit it off and decided to begin the training.

Jiraiya led Naruto to Konoha's training ground, a spacious and quiet place where only the occasional chirping of birds and the rustle of wind through leaves broke the silence.

Sunlight filtered through the sparse clouds, spilling onto this land soaked in sweat and dreams.

"Naruto, I want to get a sense of your current strength first," Jiraiya said seriously, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Attack me with your strongest power."

This made Naruto pause for a moment. He hadn't expected Jiraiya to so directly demand a display of his abilities. But soon, excitement surged within him. If you're putting it that way, you've got me hyped up!

Naruto took a deep breath, deciding to attempt his strongest killing move from before his rebirth—the Imaginary Technique: "Purple."

He closed his eyes, focusing entirely on the chakra surging within him, then snapped them open, a resolute light shining in his gaze.

First, he used the Forward Spell: "Azure." A blue energy began to gather in his palm, spinning like a vortex and emitting a faint glow. Jiraiya watched the power coalescing in Naruto's hand and couldn't help but gasp, sensing the immense pressure contained within that energy.

But that was only the beginning. Naruto then activated the Reverse Spell: "Crimson." A red energy converged in his other palm, forming a stark contrast to the blue. Under Naruto's control, the two energies slowly drew closer, like two torrents about to merge.

Jiraiya's expression grew grave. He could feel the destructive force within those two energies.

Especially when Naruto began attempting to overlap the Forward Spell "Azure" and the Reverse Spell "Crimson," a powerful sense of crisis surged through Jiraiya's heart.

He panicked, because he could clearly sense that if those two powers combined, they would unleash a terrifying force capable of destroying Konoha.

"Enough, Naruto!" Jiraiya immediately shouted to stop him, his voice trembling slightly, clearly shaken by the power about to be unleashed.

At that moment, Naruto halted the overlapping motion due to insufficient chakra. The Forward Spell "Azure" and the Reverse Spell "Crimson" dissipated in the air, fading into two faint streaks of light. Naruto sighed inwardly, a hint of frustration in his heart. Still not enough chakra? I need to hurry up and draw on the Power of the Nine-Tails.

Jiraiya stared blankly at Naruto, the shock within him beyond words.

He never imagined how Konoha had taught Naruto, raising this youth to such a level of strength.

The power Naruto had displayed far exceeded his expectations, even making him feel a hint of threat.

"This... how is this possible?" Jiraiya murmured to himself, unable to believe what he had witnessed. Yet the evidence stood right before him, leaving no room for doubt.

For a moment, Jiraiya didn't even know what to teach Naruto.

With Naruto's strength already so formidable, all Jiraiya could offer seemed to be Sage Mode and passing down a few symbolic techniques.

However, there were two techniques he absolutely had to teach Naruto. The first was the Rasengan.

The Rasengan was the original creation of the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, embodying his painstaking effort and wisdom.
