Outside Konoha, in the lush, dense forest stretching far and wide, Orochimaru, accompanied by Sound Ninja and the still-unconscious, kidnapped Sasuke, sped along a forest path, leaving behind a trail of hurried footsteps and the rustle of leaves brushed aside.
But just then, an unusual figure shot through the treetops like a meteor streaking across the night sky, moving at astonishing speed.
It was Naruto, his form light and agile, like a forest spirit leaping between branches, yet carrying an irresistible, overwhelming momentum.
Naruto's speed pushed beyond what the naked eye could track. Each leap seemed to defy the bounds of space itself, and in mere breaths, he had closed in on Orochimaru's trail.
The wind in the forest and the birdsong seemed to accompany the chase.
As Naruto drew near, a surge of indescribable excitement welled up in Orochimaru's heart.
He looked up at the sky, his cold, sinister eyes locking onto the rapidly approaching Naruto.
A smirk curled at the corner of Orochimaru's mouth, and he issued urgent orders to the Sound Ninja beside him.
The Sound Ninja dared not hesitate. They quickly gathered around an open area and began forming hand seals.
As they chanted under their breath, a powerful wave of Chakra spread through the air. Then, a massive violet light array—the Four Violet Flames Formation—erupted on Naruto's inevitable path, like a giant net, instantly enveloping him as he passed through.
Yet, facing this sudden barrier, Naruto's face broke into a confident smile.
His voice pierced the barrier, ringing clearly in Orochimaru's ears: "Orochimaru, why are you running? That's not like you! Or do you think some flimsy barrier like this can hold me?"
Orochimaru gave no reply, but his smile grew eerier, as if everything was going according to plan. With the unconscious Sasuke on his back, his figure flickered among the trees, trying to use the complex terrain to escape.
But Naruto's gaze was like a torch, fixed unwaveringly on him.
Seeing this, Naruto let out a soft laugh. The Four Violet Flames Formation around him seemed to tremble slightly in response to his will.
He closed his eyes slowly, his hands forming seals rapidly. A surge of powerful Chakra roiled within him, and in an instant, four Rasengan condensed into shape in his palms.
Unlike usual, Naruto began to alter their form. The spherical energy balls elongated, transforming into sharp cones. Their rotation sped up, the air screeching as it was sliced apart. Finally, these Rasengan refined into needle-thin silver threads, barely visible to the eye, gleaming with dangerous light.
"It's over," Naruto murmured. His eyes snapped open, and with a sweep of his hands, the four needle-like Rasengan shot through space like lightning, striking the four corners controlling the barrier with pinpoint accuracy.
The four ninja had no time to react. Four flashes of silver light passed, and the sturdy barrier they had erected was pierced like paper. Before they could even cry out, they fell, disbelief frozen in their eyes even in death.
The moment the barrier collapsed, the air around seemed to shudder.
Naruto didn't pause for an instant. His form blurred, and like a wild horse breaking free, he chased after Orochimaru again.
He quickly caught up to the fleeing Orochimaru, pressing close like a cheetah locking onto its prey. No matter how Orochimaru twisted and turned, he couldn't shake the intense pressure bearing down from behind.
Orochimaru's face wore a smug smile—a mix of confidence and madness. He knew every trap he had laid was aimed at one thing: finally claiming Naruto's body—that vessel brimming with astonishing potential and the power of the Nine-Tails.
"Naruto-kun, your persistence is truly admirable," Orochimaru said, his voice laced with mockery. He deliberately slowed his pace, luring Naruto into a vast, empty zone.
Here, he had already meticulously prepared. A barrier that erased all traces of energy fluctuations quietly unfolded, ensuring no Konoha ninja could track them here and interfere.
Hovering in midair, Naruto's sharp blue eyes behind his sunglasses were as keen as an eagle's. He sensed the abnormality in his surroundings but showed no fear. "Orochimaru, finally stopped running, huh."
Orochimaru chuckled softly. His hands moved swiftly through seals, and the light of the Summoning Jutsu flared. A massive python materialized out of thin air, opening its gaping maw to easily swallow Sasuke. Then its body twisted, as if churning space itself, and Sasuke's form vanished into the serpent's belly, teleported to an unknown location.
"Naruto-kun, you see, even your arrival changes nothing. Sasuke is already in my grasp, and you too will become an essential cornerstone on my path to eternity." Orochimaru's tone dripped with temptation and provocation.
