Shao Yu, Mochizuki Chihiro, and Cao Qinqin found that the Volcanic Islands had been swallowed by the sea and hurried to get Tang Miao and Mu Bai to safety. When thousands of Feather Demons blocked their way, Shao Yu stayed behind to draw them off so the others could escape.

Wangyue Mingjian and the others encountered the Flood Dragon Emperor at the Volcanic Islands, where it spared them but failed to break a mysterious pillar and was frozen by it. After another Great Demon’s aura spread across the islands, the group reached Twin Guardian Pavilion, where Wangyue Mingjian began investigating the pillars as Mu Ningxue left for Moon Snow New City.

• Wangyue Mingjian arrived as the Flood Dragon Emperor surfaced, and it ordered the humans to leave rather than attacking them.

At the reverse slope, Tang Miao silenced the operations chief’s complaints with his Dark Energy and prepared to clear the spiders blocking their way.

• Tang Miao told Apas to protect Ling Ling as the Desert Bone-Eating Spiders descended into the narrow fissure, and Apas led Ling Ling forward under the protection of her bloodline pressure.
