Bibi Han led Na'er toward the mountaintop. To return to the academy, they had to pass through the narrow trail at the summit, which meant everyone would eventually gather there. Fishing at the top would invite a siege, but if they wanted to win, they could not worry about that.
"Hey, Na'er, there's prey up ahead. A seven-man team, no less. Let's take them out."
Just as the seven-man team cautiously moved forward and scouted the area, a voice rang out. "This mountain was opened by me, these trees were planted by me. If you want to leave, hand over all your medals."
As the words fell, four Blue Silver Grass Vines appeared. Bibi Han and Na'er stood atop them, quietly looking down at the group from above.
"Bibi Han, Your Majesty the Pope's disciple!" one of them said in terror.
They had seen how strong Bibi Han was. Defeating Xie Yue and Yan had taken no effort at all, and there were even rumors from the Golden Class that he had defeated five opponents alone during the Moon Tournament without taking a single injury.
"What, do you need us to make the first move?" Bibi Han asked blandly.
Rather than answer, they directly summoned their martial souls. Bibi Han was quite pleased with that response.
Two Soul Elders and five Soul Grandmasters.
"Na'er, which one do you want?"
"Big Brother, I want that one."
Seeing the person Na'er pointed at, Bibi Han swept his Eye of Truth over the muscular fellow and said with some concern, "That one is a level 38 Soul Elder. His martial soul is the Great Strength Vajra Bear."
"Big Brother, I can do it." Na'er summoned her martial soul, the Silver Dragon Spear. One yellow and one purple soul ring appeared as she charged straight at him.
The outsiders watching immediately cried out in shock at the sight of those soul rings. Another Cross-Rank Soul Ring Absorption user—truly worthy of being Your Majesty the Pope's disciple.
Bibi Han also leaped down and brought his hands together. The Clear Sky Divine Hammer appeared, though its hammerhead was wrapped in Blue Silver Grass.
Bibi Han attacked the six others. With a casual wave, a Soul Grandmaster with a Beast Martial Soul collapsed to the ground, unable to rise. Bibi Han then shaped the Blue Silver Grass into a hemisphere around the rest, preventing their escape, while splitting off part of his attention to watch the battle outside.
Na'er and the Soul Elder were testing each other.
Inside the Blue Silver Grass enclosure, five dull thuds rang out in rapid succession. In less than a minute, all five had fallen, with no effort at all. Once the Blue Silver Grass withdrew, Bibi Han quietly watched Na'er's battle.
Na'er's dragon spear was incomparably sharp. Every swing left a bloody gash on her opponent's body.
The Soul Elder's Second Soul Ring lit up. "Savage Bear Paw."
The man's palm turned brown as a bear paw slammed toward her.
Facing the attack, Na'er bent sideways and raised her spear with both hands to block. Bibi Han's heart tightened, then relaxed. Na'er dodged the palm, braced her spear against the man's thick arm to borrow its force, then spun and smashed the spear into his left waist.
The man's defenses were instantly broken. He clutched his waist as cold sweat streamed down his face—it looked painful just watching him.
Na'er did not let the opportunity slip away. With an upward sweep of her spear, the Soul Elder's brawny body was sent flying. He crashed through a tree, and Na'er followed up with a huge fireball. The bear immediately caught fire, screaming incessantly as he surrendered.
"Big Brother, Na'er is amazing, right?" Na'er asked as she walked over, looking a little smug.
"Of course you are. You took him down without even using a soul skill."
Bibi Han placed one hand on Na'er's back while using Blue Silver Grass to take their medals, absorbing a little of their Soul Power along the way and restoring both of them to peak condition.
"Let's go, Na'er."
Night fell quickly. Bibi Han carried four plump rabbits in his hand. There were soul beasts in these mountains as well, but their cultivation levels were generally low. The high-level soul beasts had long since been captured.
"Na'er, it's about dark. We should rest too."
Bibi Han smashed out a small pit with his hammer, then activated the Blue Silver Domain and gathered all the dry firewood and dead branches within a five-hundred-meter radius.
"Na'er, light it."
Na'er casually tossed out a fireball, igniting the wood.
Bibi Han began cleaning the four rabbits before roasting them. He took out some water and seasonings from his Soul Tool. The rules only said they could not bring food, so bringing these did not count as cheating.
A rich aroma spread through the air. As for those foolish soul masters who saw the firelight and smelled the scent, Bibi Han used the Blue Silver Domain to teach them a lesson. Their Soul Power was drained dry on the spot, and he showed no mercy, quietly leaving them to be taken away by the academy staff. Before that, however, Bibi Han kindly made them a Protective Barrier to keep them from being harmed by other soul beasts.
"Na'er, it's ready." He handed her a large, fat rabbit.
"Ah, it's so good!" Na'er had always had a large appetite, so her table manners were not exactly graceful. Her mouth was soon covered in grease.
"Big Brother, what's that?" Na'er curiously looked at the red seasoning bottle.
"Oh, that's Chili Powder."
"Sprinkle some on mine."
"Na'er, it's really spicy."
Douluo was nothing like Blue Star. There was far more spiritual energy of heaven and earth here, so the peppers were much spicier than those from their world.
"I'll just add a little." Na'er pleaded.
Unable to refuse Na'er's adorable, charming expression, Bibi Han agreed and sprinkled on a little.
Immediately, Na'er ate with even greater relish.
After finishing one large rabbit, Na'er took the Chili Powder while Bibi Han was distracted with preparing another rabbit. She accidentally sprinkled on too much and immediately cried out, "So spicy! So spicy!" Tears welled up at the corners of her eyes.
Bibi Han hurriedly handed Na'er water and kept blowing on her mouth.
"Silly Na'er, it's so dark out. You should have let me sprinkle it," Bibi Han said reproachfully.
Na'er said aggrievedly, "Na'er knows she was wrong. Big Brother, I didn't mean to take it."
Seeing Na'er proactively admit her mistake, Bibi Han shook his head. "It's fine, Na'er. I'll eat this one. I'll roast another for you."
Bibi Han showed no disgust at Na'er's saliva and started eating. Seeing this, Na'er's little face flushed slightly.
After the two of them wolfed everything down, they were full and satisfied.
Bibi Han took out a quilt and pillow from his storage ring.
"Na'er, go to sleep."
After lying down beneath the quilt, Na'er asked Bibi Han, "Big Brother, aren't you sleeping?"
"Mm. I'll sleep after I put out the fire." After extinguishing the fire, Bibi Han made a pile of Blue Silver Grass beside it and lay down inside.
In the darkness, Na'er's amethyst-like eyes gleamed as she said something startling. "Big Brother, actually, we can sleep together."
Bibi Han's closed eyes opened at those words. He swept Na'er with his spiritual power. If there had been any light, one would have been able to see that Na'er's face was bright red beneath the quilt.
Na'er truly was the Silver Dragon King who had lived for a million years, but because of that mysterious gift pack, her mind was now no different from that of a six-year-old girl. He, on the other hand, possessed an adult's mentality. How could he take advantage of Na'er's innocent mind? Would that not make him no different from a beast?
Great Xia Kingdom had a complete constitution to deal with people like that.
"Alright, Na'er, don't say any more. Go to sleep. Tomorrow is the final battle, so get some proper rest."
With that, Bibi Han closed his eyes again. Around them, he had surrounded the area with five layers of Blue Silver Grass. Even if it were him using the Clear Sky Divine Hammer to smash at it, he would need at least half a minute to break through. Thus, the two of them fell asleep in peace.
Those outside, however, were not so fortunate. Some were ambushed while sleeping at night, while others simply stayed awake all night. Soul Masters constantly flew through the night, carrying students with them.
Meanwhile, the people from the academies continued watching quietly. With their profound cultivation, going without sleep for a day was nothing to them.
