The Pioneer's Work

After Lin Qin finished speaking, she didn't give the two men a chance to ask questions. She pulled out two Number Plates and handed them over.

"Don't we have the same job?" Qiao Jie looked at the Number Plate she handed him. It had only a line of digits on it. He glanced at the Number Plate in the young man's hand and noticed it seemed different. Drawing on his experience as a wage slave, he immediately asked.

"Neither of you has any work experience. If you both perform Supernatural Tale Maintenance for the first time together, you'll likely interfere with each other. To prevent disputes, we use a one-on-one work model: only one newcomer is assigned to each Newcomer World."

Lin Qin spoke in a calm, matter-of-fact tone, but Qiao Jie's face twisted. Was it really okay to hand them a job without even providing any on-the-job training?

As if she'd seen what Qiao Jie was thinking, Lin Qin called back the young man, who had already started to leave, before adding:

"The Newcomer Quest has a very high margin for error. Even if an employee's mistake causes a failure, it's no big deal. We'll send an experienced employee to handle the maintenance. Of course, that only applies to accidents and mistakes."

"So as long as we do our best, there's no punishment even if we fail, right?" The young man smiled with relief. Lin Qin nodded, then pointed at the Number Plate in his hand.

"Although there's no punishment, we do have performance targets. If you fail three times in a row, that means you're not suited to this job. Your license will then be revoked, and you won't be hired again. So please proceed with caution while you're working."

As she spoke, Lin Qin tapped on the
