The Missing Half of the Moon

"Boom!"

As Jupiter tore through the air and became a streak of blazing fire, he flew into outer space. 💗😈  👤♦

A man wearing a Battle Suit, with only one eye, appeared right in front of Jupiter.

"Ha ha~"

"Let's begin the trial!"

The one-eyed alien chuckled. His voice was transmitted directly into Jupiter's mind.

"Psychic powers, huh!"

"Now I've got one more reason to beat the crap out of you, Cyclops!"

Hearing the voice in his mind, Jupiter's eyes lit up. Then he broke into a kindly smile.

"Cyclops!? Are you insulting me?"

"Everyone on my planet has only one eye."

The one-eyed alien's expression immediately fell. He'd just been called a Cyclops by a probationary member. It was a flat-out insult to his status as a senior Planet Assessor.

"So everyone on your entire planet is a Cyclops!"

As Jupiter spoke, he turned into a bolt of lightning and appeared in front of the One-Eyed Alien in an instant. Then he raised his middle finger toward the alien's only eye.

"You bastard!"

"You injured my eye!"

The One-Eyed Alien clutched his only giant eye in pain.

"This is only the beginning..."

Jupiter glanced at the few drops of scarlet blood on his finger and gave it a little shake. The game had only just begun.

The moment the One-Eyed Alien covered his eye and his vision blurred, Jupiter Blinked in front of him and kicked him square in the chest.

"Bastard..."

The terrifying force sent the alien hurtling toward the Moon behind him at a speed far beyond the speed of sound through air.

"Die, trash!"

Jupiter pressed his advantage. He casually grabbed two United States satellites and hurled them at the One-Eyed Alien, who had crashed onto the lunar surface.

The One-Eyed Alien had just started to get up when the satellites slammed into him, sending him right back down.

"Sh*t! You despicable little bastard! You're disqualified! I'll never let you join the Planetary Alliance!"

The One-Eyed Alien glared furiously at Jupiter, floating in space. His voice rang directly in Jupiter's mind, conveying just how enraged he was.

"Do you think I give a damn about that shitty alliance!?"

Jupiter picked at his ear. The next second, he shot forward like a Meteor and slammed into the One-Eyed Alien.

The terrifying force left countless cracks across the lunar surface where Jupiter and the One-Eyed Alien collided.

"Assessor, you came to the wrong place."

Jupiter gripped the One-Eyed Alien by the throat, his eyes flashing with a murderous glint.

"I came to the wrong place!?"

Feeling the immense pressure on his throat, the One-Eyed Alien clenched his teeth. The veins in his arms bulged as he strained with all his might to pry Jupiter's hand away, but no matter how hard he tried, it was useless.

"That's right. This is a planet belonging to the Virtumians."

Jupiter pressed the One-Eyed Alien's head firmly against the ground, then slowly brought his face closer to the alien's giant eye, as if he wanted him to get a good look at his face.

"F*ck! You're a damn Virtumian!?"

Only now did the One-Eyed Alien realize that Jupiter, who had him pinned down, was a Virtumian.

"Bingo~"

"By the way, do they play bingo on your planet!?"

As Jupiter tried to distract the alien in front of him, he tightened his grip.

"Go to hell!"

The One-Eyed Alien was a battle-hardened warrior, after all. Gritting his teeth, he focused all his strength into his legs and kicked Jupiter off him.

"I need to get out of here..."

The One-Eyed Alien awkwardly took off from the lunar surface. He had to get to Planetary Alliance headquarters and report that Blue Star was a trap. There was no one here who needed to join the Planetary Alliance, only an absurdly powerful Virtumian.

"Where do you think you're going!?"

Just as the One-Eyed Alien was about to leave, he suddenly realized someone had grabbed his foot.

"F*ck! You despicable Blue Star Virtumian!"

The One-Eyed Alien turned and glared at the man holding his foot with just one hand, cursing furiously.

But before the One-Eyed Alien could fight back, an invisible force hurled him down onto the lunar surface.

The immense force seemed to shake the entire Moon.

"Idiot, this is Blue Star, not Basket Star..."

"And your luck has run out!"

"Next time, check the planet names on the map before you decide where to go, you idiot!"

Jupiter climbed on top of the One-Eyed Alien again. This time, he didn't choke him. Instead, he hammered the alien's face with one punch after another.

Every punch Jupiter landed wreaked havoc on the lunar surface. His gloves were already stained red with blood...

One punch, two punches, three punches, four punches...

At first, the One-Eyed Alien still fought back. But as Jupiter's punches grew faster and stronger, his resistance weakened, until at last he lay motionless on the ground.

Even then, Jupiter didn't stop punching. He kept swinging, beating the lump of mosaic beneath him.

Jupiter was like someone kneading a lump of red dough. He pounded the One-Eyed Alien's body into a mass of mush, pulverized every bone, and kept going until every organ and cell in the alien's body had been beaten to death. Even after he had made the alien dead at both the microscopic and macroscopic levels, he still didn't stop—until he heard the system's voice...

"Ding-dong! High-level alien cells detected..."

"Would you like to optimize and fuse them?"

"Whew..."

"Of course!"

Hearing the system prompt in his mind, Jupiter wiped the liquid from his forehead—it might have been sweat, or his enemy's blood—and lay down beside the lump of sludge.

"Blue Star sure is beautiful..."

Jupiter lay on the lunar surface. Only after the system told him, "Fusion complete," did he get back to his feet.

"I can feel every cell in my body roaring."

Jupiter clenched his fist. He felt stronger.

After savoring the surging power within him for a while, Jupiter suddenly seemed to remember something and turned around.

"Crap!"

Looking at the handiwork behind him, Jupiter covered his face with an uneasy grimace.

"I used too much force. Damn it, looks like I won't be able to admire the moon anymore."

Jupiter looked at the Moon, now reduced to just half, and furrowed his brow. He wondered how he could explain this beautiful masterpiece to everyone else.
