Conflict with Lu Chen

The family first enters the Hidden Dragon Trial through Ye Fan, a direct descendant accompanied by two late-stage Meridian Opening guardians. Ye Fan attempts to seize Lu Chen's points and offers trial participants 3,000 points for helping the Ye Family obtain the demon treasure's core 134 135.

After Lu Chen emerges alive from the trial while Ye Fan does not, the family's elders openly direct killing intent toward him. They are forced to stand down only by the Demon Suppression Division's authority 143. The Ye Family subsequently ambushes Lu Chen in Soulbreak Gorge to avenge their young master's death, deploying their half-step Xiantian Second Elder and eight late-stage Meridian Opening experts 151.

Capital conspiracy

Lu Chen traces Ghostface activity in the capital to a warehouse whose masked leader bears the Ye Family emblem. This discovery turns the feud from a personal vendetta into an investigation of the family's covert operations 166.

His investigation identifies Ye-linked commercial properties, warehouses, gambling houses, and collateral branches in the capital. Repeated attacks on these assets force Seventh Elder Ye Chengzong to strengthen defenses and prepare a trap at the Westside Warehouse 167 168.

Inside that warehouse, Lu Chen discovers an underground dungeon containing a Blood-Eyed Demon Wolf, feeding and formation records, Blood Source Conversion materials, and evidence tied to the Blood Demon Cult. Ye Hong attempts to protect the site and its secrets; Lu Chen later escapes with the records and Extinction Iron 170 171.

The evidence eventually presented to Elder Mo includes Blood Demon Pills, a Ghostface mask fragment, Ye Chengzong's token, and letters concerning tribute transfers, Cold Fragrance Court, and the Heaven Worship Ceremony. Elder Mo confirms that the material links the family to Ghostface, the Blood Demon Cult, and Liu Jin, though he warns that the family could blame the dead Chengzong alone 182.

Azure Ridge Ghost Domain and Dragonbane Blood

The Ye Family uses the Azure Ridge Ghost Domain to conduct a ritual extracting Earth Vein Demon Dragon essence. In Wu Commandery, the Ye Family functions as a local ruling power: its shops, informants, guards, and influence permeate the city, while officials and criminal organizations show its businesses unusual deference 227.

Hundred Herbs Hall secretly stores rare materials for Dragonbane Blood research and sends monthly shipments to the ancestral grounds at Abyss's Edge City. Green Maple Manor serves as a detention site for children and youths with special constitutions, held as “special sacrifices” 229.

At Hidden Dragon Valley, the family hosts the Sword Appraisal Convention while preparing the Awakening Vein Ritual. The event offers access to the Sword Pavilion and spirit swords, apparently allowing the family to identify and influence Jiangnan's promising young cultivators 237. The ritual requires four dragon-attributed vessels—Blood Dragon Saber, Azure Dragon Halberd, Coiling Dragon Seal, and Black Dragon Armor—to stir the dragon soul at the Dragon Sacrifice Platform 240.
