Titan Academy had originally planned to end things quickly: send out its elite forces, crush Taiyi Academy and beat the Treasure Tree Clan into submission, reclaim the information on the special medicine, and use the opportunity to secure its unassailable rule and topple Taiyi Academy from its pedestal.
But the war did not unfold as Titan Academy had expected.
Titan Academy could decide when the war began. It could not decide on its own when it ended.
The flames of war spread, drawing in nearly half of all the Underground Race's forces and rapidly escalating into a world war across the Underground World.

There had certainly been longer wars, but they had mostly been small-scale, localized conflicts. Their reach and impact had remained limited.
Put simply, in the eyes of the Ten Golden Clans, those had been little more than minor skirmishes.
But this protracted war involved the Ten Golden Clans themselves, and they were throwing nearly everything they had into it.
At first, Titan Academy's demand was simply to reclaim the information on the special medicine and make the Treasure Tree Clan hand over Tong Ye. In doing so, it meant to defend the clan's authority. Led by Titan Academy, four Golden Clans joined forces to declare war on the Treasure Tree Clan and Taiyi Academy.
But those were only the outward reasons.
The deeper cause was the explosive conflict between the two bloodline factions.
