After leaving his cave abode, Chen Lin took Huangfu Qingrou on a circuit through the city. Along the way, they changed their appearances three times in secluded places before finally leaving the city.
They had barely traveled any distance before he found a remote spot, put Huangfu Qingrou into his Space Bag, and took out a Teleportation Array Disk.
Once activated, the disk released a mass of light.
Chen Lin did not teleport away immediately, however. Instead, he brought out Scholar, gave him a few spirit crystals, and issued some instructions before letting the light envelop Scholar and teleport him away.
The light faded, and Chen Lin waited quietly.
A short while later, the disk lit up again. Scholar appeared and nodded to Chen Lin.
Only then did Chen Lin relax. He put Scholar away and activated the disk to leave.
The next moment, he appeared in an underground chamber.
He looked around, and after confirming that nothing was amiss, stamped his foot, destroying the Teleportation Formation beneath him.
Then he checked his bearings and used the Earth Escapist Technique, vanishing from the chamber.
