The Prison-Suppressing Envoy had two tasks.
One was to investigate the Primal Plane, and the other was to find out why the plane had formed.
Investigating the plane was straightforward; it would merely take a great deal of time.
Taken literally, it meant traveling through the entire Primal Plane to survey its geography and any dangerous areas.
Given enough time, it would not be difficult to complete.
But finding out why the plane had formed left him at a loss for where to begin.
None of the information about the Primal Plane that had previously circulated mentioned anything about this. The major factions seemed to be investigating it as well.
There was something else Chen Lin was unsure about.
He did not know whether the task required him to discover the reason for the plane's formation before anyone else, or whether merely obtaining that information would suffice.
If it was the latter, all he needed to do was wait.
Once the major factions uncovered the reason, he could ask Liu Rumian about it, record it in his Identity Token, and be done.
But on reflection, that seemed unlikely.
That would make the task a little too simple.
Yet if he had to be the first to uncover the truth, he felt the task was far too difficult.
With his meager cultivation, he could not possibly compete with the powerful cultivators of the major factions. If so many experts had failed to find the truth, what made him any different?
Chen Lin shook his head, feeling the difficulty of the task.
Still, the requirements stated that points would be awarded according to how much of the task he completed. He only needed a hundred points, so perhaps he did not have to finish it entirely.
He stopped dwelling on it.
