Chen Lin watched the woman in the white dress being led out of the Rest Hall.
But even after a long wait, nothing changed on the stage.
Just as everyone began to wonder what was happening, the woman in white appeared onstage.
"Hello, everyone. I'm Anna."
The woman in white gave a slight bow, but not toward the audience seats. The audience's Projections had not yet been restored. She bowed toward the Rest Hall instead.
Her gesture stirred quite a commotion among the contestants in the hall.
Chen Lin also looked over with interest, wondering what this Fairytale King intended to do.
She had won ninety-nine consecutive championships. Her treasures probably piled up like mountains, and she surely possessed certain privileges.
The woman in white swept her gaze around the hall, then looked toward the very back of the audience seats. "Lord Xila, I wish to exercise the right granted by the Elimination Document."
As her words fell, Chen Lin saw an owl appear on a beam behind the audience seats.
His heart jolted.
The Owl had actually been hiding here!
He hurriedly recalled whether his earlier use of the Silence Technique had affected it. Only after confirming that the technique had not reached that far did he breathe a slight sigh of relief.
Its status was far from ordinary. All the Nightmare Realm Creatures here seemed to fall under its jurisdiction. If it discovered that he was cheating, everything would be over.
The Owl ignored everyone else's stares and looked at the woman in white onstage.
"Honored Ms. Anna," it said gravely, "you may exercise this privilege only once per competition. Are you certain you wish to use it?"
"I am."
Anna's resolve was firm.
The Owl nodded. "Very well. Name the story you wish to eliminate!"
