Two figures came hurtling toward them.
Chen Lin was pleased, but he also grew more guarded.
Soon, the figures arrived before them.
They were two war generals clad in golden armor.
The armor appeared to be standard issue. Both the generals leading the spirit planters and those of the so-called Second Legion wore the same equipment.
It must have helped them survive in the Outer Realms.
Chen Lin studied them closely.
Both were tall, but neither belonged to the human race.
One had a body like a cabbage with its leaves spread out, and a head divided into three lobes. His appearance was utterly surreal.
The other had a humanoid body, but her head was an upright kettle. A set of delicate features grew on its lid, and she appeared to be female.

Chen Lin cupped his fist and asked tentatively.
He was certain neither of these war generals had been among those responsible for leading the spirit planters.
He had some impression of all fifty-odd generals, and none had looked like these two.
They were probably experts from the Second Legion.
Although they belonged to the same side, Nightmare Realm creatures were not necessarily sane. He needed to learn more about them.
Sure enough, Cabbage Man said in a rumbling voice, "We're from the Second Legion. You two have now been conscripted!"
Chen Lin's heart tightened.
"Conscripted" was the word he least wanted to hear. It almost invariably meant tremendous danger.
His expression remained unchanged as he said respectfully, "May I ask what you need us to do?"
To avoid offending them, Chen Lin immediately explained, "Please don't take offense,
