Chen Lin raised an eyebrow slightly when he saw Li Fuyao's actions.
The Old Monk who landed on the ground was none other than one of Nian Kong's clones!
What a windfall, delivered without the slightest effort. He had been wondering how to find him, only for him to be brought straight to his door.
Chen Lin glanced at him.
He did not need to examine his face to be certain.
He had already merged with one clone, so the other man was effectively himself. The resonance was unmistakably strong.
But Nian Kong's eyes were vacant, and he lay motionless. Some sort of restriction had probably been placed on him.
"Miss Li, you really do know everything about my circumstances!"
Chen Lin looked at Li Fuyao and spoke coolly.
"Please don't be suspicious, Lord Chen. I only want to do my best to help you and earn some goodwill, so that you'll help me retrieve something in return."
Li Fuyao offered an explanation.
"Tell me, then. What exactly do you want me to retrieve?"
Chen Lin dispensed with further pleasantries and asked directly.
Although Li Fuyao was from the Lower Primal Domain, he was not confident he could defeat her. He could not act against her yet; he would assess the situation before deciding.
"Nothing much. I simply want you to visit a scenario in the Nightmare Realm and retrieve an item for me."
Li Fuyao made it sound trivial.
"Oh?"
Chen Lin's voice rose.
"If it's so simple, why insist on asking me, Miss Li?"
"I have no choice either."
Li Fuyao spread her hands.
"Neither the scenario nor the item is dangerous, but this scenario lies in another region of the Nightmare Realm. I can't go there myself, and neither can anyone else. Only your special soul will
