The little boy looked at the small pouch in his hand and immediately grew excited.

He recognized it.

The immortals who had flown over the village that day had all worn pouches like this at their waists.

Apparently, it was called a Storage Bag.

It looked small, but the space inside was actually enormous.

It belonged to an immortal. If he could use it, perhaps he could become an immortal himself and avenge his mother!

The little boy's chest heaved.

He immediately tried to open the pouch.

But he failed.

The pouch seemed to be made from a single seamless piece. No matter how hard he pulled, he could not open it.

"An immortal's possession must require an immortal's methods."

The little boy muttered to himself, stopped trying, and put the pouch away.

Suddenly, his expression changed. He hurriedly tossed the pouch back into his footprint, then quickly swept his foot over it.

Then he continued trudging forward.

"Boy, did you pick anything up?"

Two figures came streaking down from the sky.

A man and a woman, both riding flying swords, questioned him from above.

"Ah, immortals! This humble one pays his respects!"

Though the little boy wished he could beat these two immortals to death, he knew he could not reveal even a trace of his hatred.

Gritting his teeth, he dropped to his knees in a posture of reverent worship.

"Senior Brother, what could a mortal possibly know? Let's look farther ahead."

The woman glanced at the little boy as though he were an ant and spoke impatiently.

"No. We can't overlook mortals either."

With a wave of his hand, the man seized the little boy and searched him from head to toe.

Finding nothing, he slammed him to the ground and flew away with the woman.
