He said mildly, "You ought to pay more attention to your own companion. Even if you have many companions, you shouldn't favor some so heavily over others."

The man hadn't gone looking for his own disciple all these years, yet now he was playing the good man. Apparently, he was another sanctimonious hypocrite.
Or perhaps he feared something and didn't dare return to the Inner World.
"Mm, just give her some attention. If you need help, you can ask."
Hong Tingzhen offered the remark casually.

There was no need to conceal this.
Too many people knew about it.
Besides, the man was in the eternal realm. The Xikuli Cloak's concealment had limited effect against him; a cursory examination would reveal it.
